Keukenhof, also known as the Garden of Europe, is one of the world's largest flower gardens, situated in the town of Lisse, in the Netherlands. According to the official website, Keukenhof Park covers an area of 32 hectares and approximately 7 million flower bulbs are planted in the gardens annually. While Keukenhof is most known for its tulips; hyacinths, daffodils, lilies, roses, carnations and irises can also be seen.

The Vondelpark is a public urban park of 47 hectares in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is part of the borough of Amsterdam-Zuid and situated west from the Leidseplein and the Museumplein. The park was opened in 1865 and originally named Nieuwe Park, but later renamed to Vondelpark, after the 17th-century playwright and poet Joost van den Vondel. Yearly, the park has around 10 million visitors. In the park is an open-air theatre, a playground and several food service facilities.

Nieuwleusen is a town in the Dutch province of Overijssel with 5,913 inhabitants as of 1 January 2007. Dalfsen is a railway station located in Dalfsen, the Netherlands. The station was opened on 15 January 1903 and is located on the Zwolle–Emmen railway. Train services are operated by Arriva. The station is situated south of the river Vecht. Dalfsen is on the north bank of the river.

The Floriade 2012 was a Dutch horticultural exposition held in Venlo, Netherlands. It was the nineteenth AIPH world horticultural exhibition and the sixth Floriade and was held from April 5 to October 7, 2012. The Floriade 2012 was opened by Queen Beatrix. The exposition's theme and slogan was "Be part of the theatre in nature; get closer to the quality of life".
Rechteren Castle is a Dutch castle situated on an island on side-branch of Overijsselse Vecht river, near the village of Dalfsen. It is the only castle in the province Overijssel from the Middle Ages that still exists.
The Dalfsen train crash occurred on 23 February 2016 when a passenger train collided with a tracked elevated work platform on a level crossing at Dalfsen, Overijssel, Netherlands. One person was killed and six were injured, one seriously.
Aloysius College, The Hague, was a high school in The Hague, founded by the Jesuits in 1917 and expanding to include secondary school, grammar school, high school, and "gifted education." The last Jesuits left the school in the 1970s and in 2016 the school was closed due to financial difficulties.
