Denise Gyngell (born 30 August 1961) is a Welsh singer, actress and model. She is most famous as a member of the early 80s pop group, Tight Fit. She later married record producer Pete Waterman.
Denise Gyngell was born in Porth, Rhondda, South Wales.[ citation needed ] She went to the Barbara Speake Stage School and the Italia Conti Academy.
As a child, she was friends with Jay Aston of Bucks Fizz.
She appeared in The Darwin Adventure (1972), with her brothers Paul and Michael, where they were all cast as Darwin's children. In 1973 she appeared in the Play for Today episode "Song for Twilight", written by Noël Coward, featuring Peter Sallis. Along with Paul, she also appeared in The Zoo Robbery.
As part of pop group Tight Fit she had a No. 1 single with a cover version of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", and a top 5 hit with "Fantasy Island" in 1982. The band re-formed in 2010 and began doing small gigs around Britain. [1]
Gyngell was one of Hill's Angels on The Benny Hill Show during the early 1980s. She appeared in an episode of Ronnie Corbett's Sorry! in 1987. She also made appearances with Kenny Everett and Morecambe and Wise.
She was also in several stage shows, including Aladdin , in pantomime.
Gyngell married producer Pete Waterman in 1991; the couple divorced in 1999. They have two children. [2]

The series ran for ten seasons on Fox from October 4, 1990, to May 17, 2000, and is the first of six television series in the Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise. The series follows the lives of a group of friends living in Beverly Hills, California, as they transition from high school to college and into the adult world. Family Affairs is a British soap opera that aired on Channel 5. It debuted on 30 March 1997, the day of the launch of said channel and was the first programme broadcast on the channel. It was screened as five thirty-minute episodes per week at 6:30pm on weekdays, followed by an omnibus edition on Sundays. The series never achieved high ratings, so it went through a number of dramatic revamps involving wholesale cast turnover. Popstars: The Rivals is a British television talent show series that was broadcast on ITV in late 2002. It was the second UK series of the international Popstars franchise. Unlike Popstars, which resulted in the formation of one winning group, Hear'Say, Popstars: The Rivals created two rival groups, Girls Aloud and One True Voice, who competed against each other for the Christmas number one spot on the UK Singles Chart. Girls Aloud won and would go on to achieve twenty consecutive top ten hits, four number ones and six top ten albums, two of which reached number one and from that, group member Cheryl would achieve five number-one singles and two number one albums.
