Denise Rennex is an Australian former lightweight rower. She was a national varsity champion and won a bronze medal at the 1985 World Championships.
Rennex's senior club rowing was from the Australian National University Boat Club.
Rennex first made New South Wales state representation in 1983 in the lightweight four which contested the Victoria Cup at the Interstate Regatta within the Australian Rowing Championships. [1] She raced that event again in 1985 when she stroked the New South Wales four. [2]
In ANU colours she contested national championship events at the Australian Rowing Championships. She stroked a composite Australian Capital Territory eight competing for the open women's eight title in 1982. [3] In 1983 she was in the two seat of a composite eight comprising the New South Wales state selected lightweight plus heavyweight women's fours. [4] In 1985 she rowed in a composite eight containing the New South Wales lightweight four in the bow end and the Victorian lightweight four in the stern. They were unable to beat a heavyweight Melbourne University eight to the championship title. [5]
Rennex was the Australian National University's single sculling entrant at the 1982 Australian Intervarsity Championships. [6] In 1983 she won the coxless pair university title at the Intervarsity Championships. [7]
Rennex made her Australian representative debut at the 1985 World Rowing Championships in Hazelwinkel - the first Rowing World Championships to include lightweight events within the overall programme. Rennex rowed in the three seat of the lightweight coxless four which took the bronze medal. [8] [9] [10]
Kristina Larsen is an Australian former representative rower. She is a two-time World Champion, an Olympian and won ten Australian national championship titles in sweep-oared boats, often at stroke.
Roger Arthur Ninham was an Australian Olympian stillwater rower, a surfboat rower and surfcraft boat builder. As a stillwater rower he was a six-time national champion across both sculling and sweep-oared boats and competed at two Olympic Games.
Gary Joseph James Lynagh is an eleven time Australian national champion, three time World Champion and Olympian lightweight rower. He represented Australia at every premier international regatta from 1990 to 1998.
Sarah Heard is a former Australian representative rower. She was a twelve-time Australian national and 2005 world champion. She stroked the Australian senior women's eight at the premier world regattas every year from 2005 to 2008 and including the women's eight final at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Katelyn Gray is an Australian rower.
Alexander (Steve) Purnell is an Australian rower. He is an Olympic and national champion who has represented at underage and senior world championships. In 2018 in an Australian eight, he won the Grand Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta. He rowed in the bow seat of the Australian men's coxless four to a gold medal victory at the Tokyo Olympics.
Gayle Toogood is an Australian former lightweight rower. She was a thirteen-time national champion and competed at World Championships over a ten-year period from 1984 to 1994. She won medals at two World Championships and at the 1986 Commonwealth Games.
Brigid Cassells is an Australian former lightweight rower. She won silver medals at two World Rowing Championships.
Pamela Westendorf is an Australian former lightweight rower. She won twenty-three Australian national championships, was an Olympian, represented at five World Championships over a twelve-year period and won a silver medal at the 1990 World Rowing Championships.
Sally Ninham is an Australian historian and a former national representative rower. As a lightweight rower she was a national champion and won a silver medal at the 1990 World Rowing Championships.
Dennis Hatcher is an Australian former rower. He was an Australian national champion and won a bronze medal at the 1978 World Rowing Championships in the lightweight division.
Maia Simmonds is an Australian former representative rower. She is a three-time national champion, rowed for her home state of Western Australia in both lightweight and heavyweight crews, in sculling and sweep-oared boats and won a silver medal at the 2014 World Rowing Championships.

Edward V "Terry" O'Hanlon is an Australian former rowing coxswain. He was seven times an Australian national champion who coxed Australian representative crews at two World Rowing Championships.
Paul Francis Rowe was an Australian representative rower and elite level rowing coach. He was an eight-time Australian national champion in both sweep oared and sculling boats across both lightweight and open divisions. He was Australia's lightweight sculling representative at the 1975 World Rowing Championships. He coached scullers and crews to three Australia national title wins and to world championships and to Commonwealth and Olympic Games.
Russell Hookway is an Australian former representative lightweight rower and coach. He made six representative apperarance for his state of Tasmania, was twice an Australian national champion and represented for Australia at the 1984 World Rowing Championships.
