Robert James Mair, Baron Mair, is a geotechnical engineer and Emeritus Sir Kirby Laing Professor of Civil Engineering and Director of Research at the University of Cambridge. He is Head of the Cambridge Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction (CSIC). Daniel Oerther American Professor (born 1972)

Daniel Barton Oerther is an American Professor. He is best known for leadership bridging engineering and nursing to advance environmental health practice through science diplomacy. Oerther uses 16S ribosomal RNA-targeted techniques for fundamental studies of the ecology of bacteria in engineered and natural systems. He promotes transdisciplinarity among engineers, nurses, and sanitarians to improve access to clean water, nutritious food, and energy efficiency in developing communities. And Oerther practices innovation in the scholarship of teaching and learning, including modified mastery learning.

He is a Presidential Chair Professor and Associate Dean of the School of Science and Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Information Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a guest professor of Southeast University.

Xiang Zhang Chinese-American physicist

ZhangXiang is a Chinese-American academic administrator, material scientist, optical engineer and physicist. He is the current Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Hong Kong (HKU), where he also serves as professor. He was the inaugural Ernest S. Kuh Endowed Chaired Professor at University of California, Berkeley in the United States, the Director of the National Science Foundation Nano-scale Science and Engineering Center (SINAM), the Director of Materials Science Division and also a Senior Faculty Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
