Denver Harris (born September 22, 2003) is an American football cornerback who will play for the UTSA Roadrunners. He previously played for the Texas A&M Aggies and the LSU Tigers.

High school career

Harris attended North Shore Senior High School in Harris County, Texas. As a senior he helped North Shore win a state championship in the states top division and played in the Under Armour All-America Game. [1] [2] A 5 star recruit ranked the nations 23rd overall prospect, he committed to Texas A&M over offers from Alabama, LSU and Texas. [3] [4]

College career

Texas A&M

Harris started as a freshman and at midseason was named to The Athletic/PFF midseason freshman All-American team. [5] [6] On October 25 it was announced that Harris and teammates Chris Marshall and PJ Williams had been indefinitely suspended from the team following a locker room incident prior to the Aggies loss to South Carolina. [7]

LSU

On December 22, 2022, Harris announced on Twitter that he would transfer to LSU. [8]

On December 28, 2023, Harris announced that he would enter the transfer portal for the second time. [9]

UTSA

On February 6, 2024, Harris announced that he would transfer to UTSA. [10]

The UTSA Roadrunners football program represents the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in the sport of American football. The Roadrunners compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the American Athletic Conference. The Aggies played their home games at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas and competed in the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They were led by fifth-year head coach Kevin Sumlin. They finished the season 8–5, 4–4 in SEC play to finish in fourth place in the Western Division. They were invited to the Texas Bowl where they lost to Kansas State.

The 2023 Frisco Bowl was a college football bowl game played on December 19, 2023, at Toyota Stadium located in Frisco, Texas. The sixth annual Frisco Bowl featured the UTSA Roadrunners from the American Athletic Conference and the Marshall Thundering Herd from the Sun Belt Conference. The game began at approximately 8:00 p.m. CST and was aired on ESPN. The Frisco Bowl was one of the 2023–24 bowl games concluding the 2023 FBS football season. The game was sponsored by coffeehouse chain Scooter's Coffee and was officially known as the Scooter's Coffee Frisco Bowl.
