The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) is a large South Australian government department which provides a range of services across the three key words of its title. [1]
As at 22 March 2018, the Minister responsible for all aspects of the department's operations is the Hon. Stephan Knoll MHA, who is the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Local Government, and Minister for Planning.
Former Chief Executive Officer Michael Deegan, appointed on 25 July 2014 [2] after the sacking of Rod Hook, [3] was sacked on 21 March 2018 by the incoming administration of Steven Marshall, following the state election of 17 March 2018. [4]

The Department for Transport (DfT) is the government department responsible for the English transport network and a limited number of transport matters in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland that have not been devolved. The department is run by the Secretary of State for Transport, currently Grant Shapps.
Highways England Company Limited is the government-owned company charged with operating, maintaining and improving England's motorways and major A roads. It operates information services through the provision of on-road signage and its Traffic England website, provides traffic officers to deal with incidents on its network, and manages the delivery of improvement schemes to the network.
The Southern Expressway is an 18.5 km (11.5 mi) freeway in the southern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia, between Bedford Park and Old Noarlunga. It is the southern part of the North–South Corridor which extends the full length of Adelaide and is being built to urban freeway standard.
The New South Wales Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH), a former division of the Government of New South Wales between April 2011 and July 2019, was responsible for the care and protection of the environment and heritage, which includes the natural environment, Aboriginal country, culture and heritage, and built heritage in New South Wales, Australia. Until its abolition in 2019, the OEH supported the community, business and government in protecting, strengthening and making the most of a healthy environment and economy within the state. The OEH was part of the Department of Planning and Environment cluster and managed national parks and reserves.
Jay Wilson Weatherill is an Australian politician who was the 45th Premier of South Australia, serving from 21 October 2011 until 19 March 2018. Weatherill represented the House of Assembly seat of Cheltenham as a member of the South Australian Branch of the Australian Labor Party from the 2002 election to 17 December 2018, when he retired.
The metropolitan area of Adelaide, South Australia is served by a wide variety of transport. Being centrally located on the Australian mainland, it forms a hub for east-west and north-south routes. The road network includes major expressways such as the Southern Expressway, the South Eastern Freeway, the Port River Expressway, the Northern Expressway and the South Road Superway. The city also has a public transport system managed by Adelaide Metro, consisting of a contracted bus system including the O-Bahn Busway, six metropolitan railway lines, and the Glenelg-Adelaide-Hindmarsh Tram. According to a study conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Adelaide has the highest passenger vehicle travel to work (84%) and the second lowest proportion of people walking to work (2.9%)–something that is being combated by the South Australian government in an effort to increase citizen ridership and use of public transport.
The Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Cities and Regional Development is an Australian Public Service department of the Government of Australia charged with the responsibility for infrastructure and major projects, transport, local government, external territories administration, rural and regional development, population policy, and cities.
The City of Whyalla is a local government area in South Australia, located at the north-east corner of the Eyre Peninsula. It was established in 1970, replacing the town commission, which had been running the town previously. The district is mostly industrial, with many large companies having factories in the city.
Kingscote Airport is located 6.5 nautical miles southwest of Kingscote, South Australia, the main town on Kangaroo Island, in the locality of Cygnet River. The airport is the sole airport for Kangaroo Island. The airport is served by regular public transport and many charter flights. The airport is managed by the Kangaroo Island Council, which has operated the airport since 16 June 1983.

Alex Hawke previously held the position in the Morrison Government from 28 August 2018 to 29 May 2019. The minister is responsible for various parliamentary, electoral, financial, public service, and oversight affairs.
The Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) is the combined authority of Greater Manchester, England. It was established on 1 April 2011 and consists of eleven indirectly elected members, each a directly elected councillor from one of the ten metropolitan boroughs that comprise Greater Manchester together with the Mayor of Greater Manchester. The authority derives most of its powers from the Local Government Act 2000 and Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009, and replaced a range of single-purpose joint boards and quangos to provide a formal administrative authority for Greater Manchester for the first time since the abolition of the Greater Manchester County Council in 1986.

The Treasury of New South Wales or New South Wales Treasury, a department of the New South Wales Government, is responsible for state financial management policy and reporting, and providing advice to the government on economic conditions and issues in New South Wales, Australia. NSW Treasury was established in April 1824 and is the oldest continuing government agency in Australia.
Western Sydney International Airport is the site for the second Sydney airport, located within the suburb of Badgerys Creek. The Airport is planned to have 24 hour and curfew-free operations. Construction of Stage 1 of the Airport began on 24 September 2018 and is expected to be complete and open by December 2026. The site was officially designated by the Federal Government on 15 April 2014, after decades of debate on the location of another airport within the Sydney basin.
Ediacara Conservation Park is a protected area located in the Australian state of South Australia about 30 kilometres south west of the town of Leigh Creek in the state's Far North.
Elwomple is a locality in The Coorong District Council in the South Australian Murray Mallee, southeast of Tailem Bend. The northwest corner is the junction of the Mallee Highway which forms the northern boundary of Elwomple, and the Dukes Highway which forms the southwestern boundary. The Bend Motorsport Park was developed in Elwomple adjacent to this junction. In September 2017, before the facility opened, the boundary between Tailem Bend and Elwomple was adjusted so that The Bend Motorsport Park was officially in Tailem Bend, not Elwomple.
The Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development was an Australian Government department that existed between September 2013 and December 2017. Matters dealt with by the department included: infrastructure planning and coordination; transport safety; land transport; civil aviation and airports; maritime transport including shipping; administration of Australian territories; constitutional development of the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory; regional programs; regional development; local government matters; and regional policy.
