The Bermuda Department of Statistics, subject to the Bermuda Statistics Act of 2002 as further amended, [1] reports to the head of Cabinet Office. It was created mainly for the collection, compilation, analysis and publication of statistical information and so facilitate the development of a statistical system for Bermuda which is also a component of the regional statistical systems of CARICOM, together with other member countries of this regional institution.

Mission

In accordance with the provisions of the Statistics Act [2]

  1. to collect, compile, collate, analyse, abstract and publish statistical information relating to the commercial, industrial, social, financial, economic, and general activities and conditions of the people of Bermuda;
  2. to take any census of population and housing in Bermuda;
  3. to collaborate with Ministries, other Government Departments and public authorities in the collection, compilation, collation and publication of statistical information, including statistics derived from the activities of those Ministries, departments or public authorities;
  4. to promote the avoidance of duplication in the information collected by Ministries, other Government Departments and public authorities;
  5. and generally to promote, organise and develop an integrated scheme of economic and social statistics relating to Bermuda

Its English name was Ministry of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications (MPHPT) prior to 2004. It is housed in the 2nd Building of the Central Common Government Office at 2-1-2 Kasumigaseki in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan.

The Philippine Statistics Authority, abbreviated as PSA, is the central statistical authority of the Philippine government that collects, compiles, analyzes and publishes statistical information on economic, social, demographic, political affairs and general affairs of the people of the Philippines and enforces the civil registration functions in the country.

Statistics Denmark is a Danish governmental organization under the Ministry of the Interior and Housing and which reports to the Minister of Economic and Internal Affairs. The organization is responsible for creating statistics on the Danish society, for example employment statistics, trade balance, and demographics.

The Central Statistical Office (CSO) was a British government department charged with the collection and publication of economic statistics for the United Kingdom. It preceded the Office for National Statistics.

Australian Bureau of Statistics Federal statistics and census agency of the Australian Government

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is the independent statutory agency of the Australian Government responsible for statistical collection and analysis, and for giving evidence-based advice to federal, state and territory governments. The ABS collects and analyses statistics on economic, population, environmental and social issues, publishing many on their website. The ABS also operates the national Census of Population and Housing that occurs every five years.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, or simply the Home Ministry, is a ministry of the Government of India. As an interior ministry of India, it is mainly responsible for the maintenance of internal security and domestic policy. The Home Ministry is headed by Union Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah.

The Central Statistics Office (CSO) is a governmental agency in India under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation responsible for co-ordination of statistical activities in India, and evolving and maintaining statistical standards. It has a well-equipped Graphical Unit. The CSO is located in Delhi. Some portion of Industrial Statistics work pertaining to Annual Survey of industries is carried out in Calcutta. It deals with statistical data of different departments.

National Statistics Office of Georgia

The National Statistics Office (GeoStat) is an agency in charge of national statistics and responsible for carrying out population, agricultural and other censuses in Georgia. It was established as a legal entity of public law according to the December 11, 2009 law of Georgia, succeeding the Department of Statistics of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. The head office is located in Tbilisi.

The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is a ministry of Government of India concerned with coverage and quality aspects of statistics released. The surveys conducted by the Ministry are based on scientific sampling methods.

Regions of England Highest tier of sub-national division in England

The regions, formerly known as the government office regions, are the highest tier of sub-national division in England, established in 1994. Between 1994 and 2011, nine regions had officially devolved functions within government. While they no longer fulfil this role, they continue to be used for statistical and some administrative purposes. While the UK was a member of the European Union, they defined areas (constituencies) for the purposes of elections to the European Parliament. Eurostat also used them to demarcate first level Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS) regions within the European Union, which in 2021 were superseded by International Territorial Level (ITL) regions. The regions generally follow the boundaries of the former standard regions, established in the 1940s for statistical purposes.

Census and Statistics Department (Hong Kong) Hong Kong government department

The Census and Statistics Department is the provider of major social and economic official statistics in Hong Kong. It is also responsible for conducting Population Census and By-census in Hong Kong since 1971. Its head office is in the Wanchai Tower in Wan Chai.

State Statistics Committee

The State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan Republic is a governmental agency within the Cabinet of Azerbaijan in charge of collection, processing and disseminating statistical data on the economy, demographics and other sectors of activity in Azerbaijan Republic. The agency is headed by Arif Valiyev.

The Anguilla Statistics Department, subject to the Statistics Act of 2000, reports to the Minister charged with responsibility for the subject of Statistics; the Head of the Department is referred to as the Statistician also designated as the Chief Statistician. It was created mainly to facilitate the development of a statistical system for Anguilla which is also a component of both the regional statistical systems of CARICOM and OECS, together with other member countries of these two regional institutions.

The Central Bureau of Statistics of Aruba, is in charge of the collection, processing and publication of statistics and reports to the Minister charged with responsibility for the subject of Statistics. It was created mainly to facilitate the development of a statistical system for Aruba which is also a component of the CARICOM regional statistical system together with other member countries of this regional institution.

The National Statistical Office of Malawi (NSO) is the main government department responsible for the collection and dissemination of official statistics in Malawi. It has headquarters in Zomba and 300 employees, and operates under the 2013 Statistics Act. The NSO also has regional offices in the major urban centres of Lilongwe, Mzuzu, and Blantyre.
