Deusdedit Muhumuza (born 30 September 1989) is a Ugandan cricketer. [1] [2] In July 2022, Muhumuza was named as the captain of the Uganda cricket team. [3]
Muhumuza played for Uganda in the 2014 Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament. In April 2018, he was named in Uganda's squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Four tournament in Malaysia. [4]
In July 2018, he was part of Uganda's squad in the Eastern sub region group for the 2018–19 ICC World Twenty20 Africa Qualifier tournament. [5] In September 2018, he was named in Uganda's squad for the 2018 Africa T20 Cup. [6] [7] The following month, he was named in Uganda's squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament in Oman. [8]
In May 2019, he was named in Uganda's squad for the Regional Finals of the 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier tournament in Uganda. [9] [10] [11] He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut against Botswana on 20 May 2019. [12] On 15 February 2020, in the third and final match against Qatar, Muhumuza became the first bowler for Uganda to take a five-wicket haul in T20I cricket. [13]
In November 2021, he was named as the vice-captain of Uganda's squad for the Regional Final of the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier tournament in Rwanda. [14] In May 2022, he was named in Uganda's side for the 2022 Uganda Cricket World Cup Challenge League B tournament. [15]
Charles Waiswa is an Ugandan cricketer who played in the 2005 ICC Trophy in Ireland. He spent a short period of time in the Nottinghamshire Premier Cricket league at Killamarsh Juniors Cricket Club in England.

The 2021–22 Uganda Tri-Nation Series, also known as the Pearl of Africa T20I Series, was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that was held in Uganda in September 2021. The participating teams were the hosts Uganda, along with Kenya and Nigeria. The tournament was originally planned to consist of 13 T20I matches, with the sides facing each other four times in a round-robin stage, followed by a final between the top two teams. The round-robin was later reduced by three matches with each team facing each other three times. The tournament provided preparation for all sides ahead of T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier events took place in October and November 2021.
