Devendrappa Ghalappa Jamadar is an Indian politician.

He was elected to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from Chincholi as a member of the Indian National Congress. [1] [2]

Devendrappa was a minister in the Devaraj Urs cabinet and has won the Chincholi seat for three times in 1972, 1978 and 1983. He belongs to the Kabbaliga community. [3] [4]

2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election

The 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election was held on 12 May 2018 in 222 constituencies to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. The election was postponed in Jayanagar and Rajarajeshwari Nagar, following the death of the MLA B. N. Vijaya Kumar and a voter fraud scandal respectively till 28 May. The election saw a voter turnout of 72.13 per cent, the highest in Karnataka since 1952 assembly polls. The counting of votes took place on 15 May 2018.

Umesh Vishwanath Katti is an Indian Bharatiya Janata Party political activist who is the current Minister of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Forest of Karnataka from 4 August 2021. He is a six term member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He entered politics after the demise of his father Vishwanath Katti in 1985 who was Member of the Legislative Assembly. He contested the 2013 Karnataka Legislative Assembly elections from Hukkeri assembly constituency and won polling 81,810 votes.

V. S. Ugrappa is an Indian politician and former member of parliament from Bellary constituency in Karnataka. He lost in the 2019 Indian general election to Devendrappa. A member of the Indian National Congress, he was elected in a bypoll in November 2018. He defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate J. Shantha by 2.1 lakh votes.

Umesh Gopaldev Jadhav is an Indian politician who serving as Member of Parliament in the 17th Lok Sabha from Gulbarga since 23 May 2019. He was an Indian National Congress party's MLA from Chincholi Assembly Consistency later, he resigned the congress party in March 2019 and later he joined to (BJP) Bharatiya Janata Party and contest Lok Sabha elections from Gulbarga and Elected As a Member of Parliament(Lok Sabha).

Umesh Bhat Bhavikeri was an Indian politician belonging to Indian National Congress. He was elected as a member of Karnataka Legislative Assembly from Ankola in 1989. He also served as the Chairman of Lok Shiksha Trust. It publishes a Kannada newspaper the Samyukta Karnataka.
