Janata Dal (United) abbreviated as JD(U) is a centre-left Indian political party with political presence mainly in eastern and north-eastern India. JD(U) is recognised as a state party in the states of Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh and is a part of government in Bihar. Samaikya Andhra Movement was a movement organized to keep the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh united, and to prevent the division of the state - separating the Telangana districts of the state into a separate Telangana state. Kulbhushan Sudhir Jadhav is an Indian national. It is alleged by the Pakistani government that he was arrested in the Pakistani province of Balochistan on charges of terrorism and spying for India's intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing. On 10 April 2017, Indian foreign ministry alleged he had been "kidnapped last year from Iran and his subsequent presence in Pakistan has never been explained credibly".
Vaijanath Sangappa Patil was an Indian politician and social worker who was the Minister of state for Minister of Urban Development of Karnataka from 1994 to 1999. He was also Minister of Horticulture of Karnataka from 1984 to 1989.
The 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election was held on 12 May 2018 in 222 constituencies to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. Umesh Vishwanath Katti is an Indian Bharatiya Janata Party political activist who is the current Minister of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Forest of Karnataka from 4 August 2021. He is a six term member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He entered politics after the demise of his father Vishwanath Katti in 1985 who was Member of the Legislative Assembly. He contested the 2013 Karnataka Legislative Assembly elections from Hukkeri assembly constituency and won polling 81,810 votes.
Dayananda Reddy is an Indian politician, entrepreneur, philanthropist and a former MLC for Bangalore Urban district at the Karnataka Legislative Council. He is known for adopting 7500 underprivileged students and giving them free education since 2010 through his foundation funded by his own businesses. Till date, the students of the foundation have planted more than 50,000 trees across Bangalore. The students have also been trained to spread awareness for keeping the city clean and green. Reddy joined the BJP in March 2018.
V. S. Ugrappa is an Indian politician and former member of parliament from Bellary constituency in Karnataka. He lost in the 2019 Indian general election to Devendrappa. A member of the Indian National Congress, he was elected in a bypoll in November 2018. He defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate J. Shantha by 2.1 lakh votes.
Umesh Gopaldev Jadhav is an Indian politician who serving as Member of Parliament in the 17th Lok Sabha from Gulbarga since 23 May 2019. He was an Indian National Congress party's MLA from Chincholi Assembly Consistency later, he resigned the congress party in March 2019 and later he joined to (BJP) Bharatiya Janata Party and contest Lok Sabha elections from Gulbarga and Elected As a Member of Parliament(Lok Sabha).

Umesh Bhat Bhavikeri was an Indian politician belonging to Indian National Congress. He was elected as a member of Karnataka Legislative Assembly from Ankola in 1989. He also served as the Chairman of Lok Shiksha Trust. It publishes a Kannada newspaper the Samyukta Karnataka.
