Devil's Tower Camp is a military installation located just south-east of Gibraltar International Airport on the isthmus between Spain and Gibraltar.
The site dates back to 1713 when Spain ceded land to the United Kingdom under the Treaty of Utrecht. [1] The camp was established in 1942 as an RAF barracks to support RAF Gibraltar during the Second World War and was located conveniently close to the airfield. [2]
The facilities, which were increasingly used by the British Army after the War, became the home of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment. [3] They were expanded and refurbished to provide a new catering complex and single living accommodation for some 450 troops in 2009. [4] The new facilities also included the Princess Royal Medical Centre, established to provide medical facilities for military personnel, which was opened by the Princess Royal during that year. [5]
In 2011 Government of Gibraltar and the UK Ministry of Defence agreed that the UK's property requirements would be filled by the Naval Base, the Airfield, Devil's Tower Camp and Four Corners so releasing extensive other property for disposal. [6]
In 2021, the field at Devil's Tower Camp was used as a football pitch to host matches in the 2020–21 Gibraltar Women's Football League, while resurfacing took place at Victoria Stadium. [7]
Royal Air Force Halton, or more simply RAF Halton, is one of the largest Royal Air Force stations in the United Kingdom. It is located near the village of Halton near Wendover, Buckinghamshire. The site has been in use since the First World War but is due to close by December 2027.

Administered by British Forces Gibraltar, the station is a joint civil-military facility that also functions as the Rock's civilian airport – Gibraltar Airport, with the civilian airport's passenger terminal building and apron facilities located on the north side of the runway while the apron and hangar of RAF Gibraltar are located on the south side of the runway.

DCLPA provides logistic support, policing, guarding, personnel administration and leadership training to all three armed services. The site is north of Winchester, between the villages of South Wonston and Kings Worthy.
Devil's Tower Road is a road in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar. The road, in the northeastern part of the settlement, runs south of Gibraltar International Airport, from Winston Churchill Avenue southeast to Eastern Beach Road. It was named after Devil's Tower, a seventeenth-century watchtower that was formerly at the eastern end of the road. By 2011, Devil's Tower Road had been changed to a dual carriageway, with on-street parking eliminated, and the Government's plan to change the name of the road to North Front Avenue met with community opposition. A new access road was planned, such that Winston Churchill Avenue, which crosses the airport runway, would no longer serve as the main road to the Gibraltar-Spain border to intersect with Devil's Tower Road after passing under the eastern edge of the runway. The new road and tunnel, named Kingsway with the approval of Charles III, was officially opened on 31st March 2023.
