He spent his first 14 seasons as a cornerback and his final four as a safety. Woodson played college football for the Michigan Wolverines, three times selected to the All-Big Ten team, twice earning All-American honors. As a junior, he was a national champion and the Heisman Trophy winner in 1997. To date, he is the only defensive player in college football history to win the Heisman Trophy.
