The Samajwadi Party is a socialist political party in India. It was founded by formerly Janata Dal politicians Mulayam Singh Yadav and Beni Prasad Verma and is headquartered in New Delhi. The Samajwadi Party is currently led by former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh,Akhilesh Yadav. He was chosen as the President for the first time in an Emergency meeting in 2017. Z.A. Ahmed was an Indian politician from Uttar Pradesh,belonging to the Communist Party of India. In the 1930s,acting on instructions from the CPI,he joined the Congress Socialist Party in which he served as All India Joint Secretary. After a brief period in exile in Pakistan in the 1940s,Ahmed returned to India and became Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Committee of the CPI.
