Richard George Myers (born 6 July 1950) is a former New Zealand rugby union player. A loose forward, Myers played for Leamington RFC in Cambridge and is the only All Black to have played for the club. He represented Manawatu and Waikato at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, in 1977 and 1978. He played five matches for the All Blacks including one international. On his test debut for New Zealand he played at Number 8 against the Wallabies where his opposite number Greg Cornelsen scored 4 tries in a 30–16 victory for Australia. [2]
Hamilton Boys' High School is a boys' secondary school in Hamilton, New Zealand and is the largest secondary school in the Waikato region. The school was established as Hamilton High School in 1911 but was later split into separate boys' and girls' schools, with the current school opened in February 1955. Its sister school is Hamilton Girls' High School. Steven Paul Bates is a New Zealand rugby union footballer, whose usual position is at Number 8. He played for Waikato at provincial level and the Chiefs in the Super 14. Bates made the traditional All Blacks route to the top with appearances for New Zealand Secondary Schools, New Zealand U-19 and the U-21s, during this time he played Rugby league and was good enough to be selected for the Warriors U-19s. He played his first test for his nation.
