Didier Kadio (born 5 April 1990) is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays as a defender or defensive midfielder.

Career

Club

At the beginning of April 2014, Kadio moved to Kazakhstan, signing a loan deal with FC Zhetysu until the end of the 2014 season. [1] Kadio returned to FC Shirak in December 2014, [2] before signing for FF Jaro in Finland during February 2015. [3]

On 22 January 2016, Kadio re-signed for Zhetysu. [4]

On 30 August 2016, Kadio joined Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League. He scored his first goal for Kerala Blasters by levelling against Chennaiyin in Kochi on 12 November 2016. Kerala Blasters eventually won that match with score 3–1. [5]

On 10 August 2018, SJK announced the signing of Kadio after his Pyunik contract expired on 8 August 2018. [6] On 2 December 2019, SJK announced that Kadio had left the club after the expiration of his contract. [7]

Kadio joined Al-Hilal Club on 8 January 2020. [8]

On 9 February 2021 Kadio signed for FC Alashkert. [9] On 24 December 2022, Alashkert announced the departure of Kadio. [10]

On 24 January 2023, Zhetysu announced the return of Kadio. [11]

The 2016 FC Zhetysu season is the 10th successive season that the club playing in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Kazakhstan, and 20th in total. Zhetysu will also take part in the Kazakhstan Cup.

The 2017–18 season was Alashkert's sixth season in the Armenian Premier League and eleventh overall. Alashkert were defending Premier League champions, having won the title the previous season. Domestically, Alashkert finished the season as Champions for the third season in a row, six-points ahead of second placed Banants, whilst they were beaten in the final of the Armenian Cup by Gandzasar Kapan on penalties. In Europe, Alashkert reached the Second qualifying round of the Champions League for the second season in a row, where they were knocked out by BATE Borisov.

The 2018–19 season was Alashkert's seventh season in the Armenian Premier League and twelfth overall. Alashkert were defending Premier League champions, having won the title the previous three seasons. Domestically, Alashkert finished the season in fourth place, whilst winning the Armenian Cup and Armenian Supercup for the first time in their history, earning themselves qualification to the UEFA Europa League for the 2019–20 season. In Europe, Alashkert were knocked out of the Champions League by Celtic in the first qualifying round, and by CFR Cluj in the third qualifying round in the Europa League.

The 2018–19 season was Pyunik's 25th season in the Armenian Premier League.

The 2019–20 season was Alashkert's eighth season in the Armenian Premier League and thirteenth overall. After the season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Armenia, Alashkert finished third in the League, reached the quarterfinals of the Armenian Cup and were runners-up in the Armenian Supercup. In Europe Alashkert were knocked out of the Europa League in the second qualifying round by FCSB.

The 2020 FC Zhetysu season was the club's third season back in the Kazakhstan Premier League following their relegation at the end of the 2016 season, and 23rd season in total.
