Digital Dreams Music Festival is a two-day electronic music festival held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at RBC Echo Beach at Ontario Place. The festival has four stages and has around 25,000 attenders over two days.
The festival began in 2012 on June 30 – July 1. It is held annually in July, about the time of the Canada Day long weekend. It was the first outdoor electronic music festival in downtown Toronto and had much success. The festival quickly gained prominence in the EDM community, attracting music enthusiasts from across the globe. In 2012, the festival began with four stages: the Digital Stage, the Dream Stage, the Bass Stage and the Canada Stage. The 2013 festival followed this same set-up.
The festival operates with the support of corporate sponsorship. [1]
The 2012 festival line-up featured Duck Sauce, Richie Hawtin, Chuckie, R3hab, Steve Lawler, A-Trak, Guy Gerber, Autoerotique, Kaskade, Alesso, Dubfire, Nic Fanciulli, Mark Knight, Boris, Carlo Lio, Designer Drugs and Sydney Blu. [2] The festival was held at the Flats at The Molson Canadian Amphitheatre.
The 2013 festival headliner was the DJ, Tiësto. The Canadian electronic music pioneer, Richie Hawtin also returned in 2013 to headline the second main stage at Echo Beach. [3] Other performers were Junkies, LUSH, Marcus Visionary, Mord Fustan, Damn Kids and Flosstradamus. [4]
In 2014, the festival was held at Ontario Place. [5] The audience at the festival was estimated at 29,000, and the event was marred by some drug- and alcohol-related injuries. [6] This was one of several festivals held that summer on government property which resulted in serious injuries, causing local politicians to call for a ban on the use of public land for festivals and raves. [7] The festival received good reviews for its music, [8] but poor reviews for festival organization. [9]

Because of heavy rain, the first day of the 2015 festival was cancelled. The flyer was changed from a "Rain or Shine Event" to "Rain or Shine, Except Rain". [10]

Richard "Richie" Hawtin is a British-Canadian electronic musician and DJ. He became involved with Detroit techno's second wave in the early 1990s, and has been a leading exponent of minimal techno since the mid-1990s. He became known for his recordings under the Plastikman and F.U.S.E. aliases. Under the latter, he released his debut album Dimension Intrusion (1993) as part of Warp's Artificial Intelligence series.
The World Electronic Music Festival (WEMF) was an electronic music event held annually in various locations across Southern Ontario over a period of three days. It was created and run by Destiny Productions out of Toronto. In summer of 2008 Destiny put on what was said to be their last WEMF in Madawaska, however the event returned in 2011 for 2 more years.

CNTRL: Beyond EDM was an educational initiative, centred on electronic dance music (EDM), and comprising music production seminars, lessons in the music business and live music performances on a tour of North American universities. Organised by a core team of Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice and Ean Golden, the tour included many high-profile guest speakers and performers. Their stated aim was "engaging young North American fans of EDM and showing them the roots of the music, the history of a global movement and demonstrating what the future of music technology and performance has the power to become." Partners included Sennheiser, New York DJ school Dubspot and DJTechtools magazine. The CNTRL branding featured a fingerprint/circuitboard logo representing the expression of musicians' individuality through electronics.

Summer Sound Festival is an electronic music festival that is held in Helsinki, Finland. It has been organized since 2012 by Heikki Liimatainen and Alex Kunnari, the founders of Summer Sound Festival Oy. However, the very first festival was held on 2011 at Suvilahti, Helsinki, before it became a brand. It was just one day event. Niles Hollowell-Dhar, known professionally as Kshmr, is an American musician, songwriter, DJ, record producer, former rapper, and singer. He was ranked 23rd on DJ Mag's 2015 Top 100 DJs poll and was awarded highest new entry for the year. In the same poll he elevated to 12th in 2016 and 2017, and again in 2020. He was ranked 11th in the same poll in 2021; and in 2022 in same poll he ranked 12. In July 2017, he launched Dharma Worldwide, a sublabel of Spinnin' Records. Kshmr performed live at many music festivals like Coachella, Tomorrowland, EDC, Ultra and Sunburn.

Miami Music Week (MMW) is a weeklong marathon of electronic dance music that takes place in Miami, Florida. During the last week of March, the event is attended by hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world. In 2015, over 1,000 artists performed at over 260 events hosted at a myriad of venues across Miami. Venues include nightclubs, pools, boats, and pop-up spaces/venues in areas such as Wynwood, Downtown Miami, Miami Beach, and Little Haiti. Miami Music Week also leads up to the Ultra Music Festival, which is attended by 165,000 people over three days.

The annual event, which debuted in 2011, is held at the National Orange Show Event Center in San Bernardino, California on the weekend preceding Halloween, and is centered around Halloween and traditional horror themes.
