In the film, a petty thief assumes the identity of his lookalike and attempts to lead a rebellion by farmers from the latter's village, Thanoothu, and helps them fight against an entrepreneur who exploited Thanoothu's water resources.

The film follows Karikalan "Kaala", the leader of Dharavi, who tries save his land and people from getting seized and evicted by Haridev "Hari Dhadha", a ruthless minister.

Jeyamohan, and produced by Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures. The film stars Vijay, Keerthy Suresh and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead roles, alongside Yogi Babu, Tulasi, Radha Ravi and Pala. Karuppiah. In the film, a corporate raider arrives in Tamil Nadu from the United States to cast his vote in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election, only to find out that his vote has already been recorded as cast, leading to him raising awareness against electoral fraud and contesting as a non-partisan politician in the elections amidst several attempts made on his life and reputation.
Kuthoosi (transl. Needle) is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language action drama film written and directed by Siva Sakthi. The film stars Dileepan and Amala Rose Kurian in the lead roles while Yogi Babu and Siva play supportive roles in the film. The film was released on 25 January 2019 clashing with Charlie Chaplin 2 and Simba on the same date and opened to mostly average reviews from the critics.
