The Nepali Congress is a social democratic political party in Nepal and become the largest party in the country. The party has 870,106 members as of the party's 14th general convention in December 2021, making it the largest party by membership in Nepal. In June 2023, the party started online membership since the emergence of youth leaders in vital posts to attract youths to the party. The party is led by former prime minister, Sher Bahadur Deuba since the party's thirteenth general convention in 2016. Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary is a Nepali politician of Nepali Congress and Chief minister of Lumbini government. He is also serving as member of the Lumbini Province Provincial Assembly. Chaudhary was elected to the 2017 and 2022 provincial assembly elections from Dang 3(A). He has previously served as Minister for Tourism, Rural and Urban Development of Lumbini Province and as Minister of state for Labour and Employment in central government.

Mohammad Lalbabu Raut from Federal Socialist Forum, Nepal was sworn in the Chief Ministers of Madhesh Province in February 2018. Present arrangement of cabinet is the result of talk between two Former Deputy Prime Ministers, PSP-N President Upendra Yadav and Nepali Congress Vice-president Bimalendra Nidhi who have strong hold in this region from their respective parties.

Shankar Pokharel resigned on 11 August 2021.

Kul Prasad KC is a Nepalese politician and former Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, a province in western Nepal. He was unanimously selected Parliamentary Party leader of CPN(Maoist-centre) for Lumbini Province in 2018. KC was elected from Rolpa 1(A) to provincial Assembly of Lumbini province.

Kul Prasad KC was sworn in as Chief Minister of Lumbini Province on 12 August 2021. He became second chief minister of Lumbini after Shankar Pokharel resigned reaching minority.

Astalaxmi Shakya was sworn in as Minority Chief Minister of Bagmati Province on 18 August 2021. After the split of CPN(UML), she's been working on Interim capacity while opposition has claimed majority. The People's Freedom Party is a political party in Nepal. The party's primary base is in the Tharuhath region, especially Kailali district and Bardiya district.

The second Lumbini Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2022 provincial elections on 20 November 2022. 87 members were elected to the assembly, 52 of whom were elected through direct elections and 35 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The first session of the assembly commenced from 2 January 2023.
