History

Rajendra Singh Rawal was appointed chief minister on 12 January 2023. [2] His tenure lasted only 28 days after his appointment as Nagrik Unmukti Party decided to not give him vote of confidence. Hence, Kamal Bahadur Shah, leader of the opposition was appointed Chief minister. He won 41 votes against 11 in the vote of confidence. [3]

The Fifth Deuba cabinet was the Government of Nepal from 13 July 2021 to 26 December 2022. It was formed after Sher Bahadur Deuba was appointed as the new prime minister of Nepal by president Bidya Devi Bhandari following an order from the Supreme Court, which declared the dissolution of the House of Representatives on the recommendation of former prime minister KP Sharma Oli to be unlawful. Tika Thapa is a Nepalese politician, belonging to the Nagrik Unmukti Party. Thapa had served as the Minister of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives of Sudurpashchim Province. She is also serving as a member of the 2nd Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly. In the 2022 Nepalese provincial election she was elected as a proportional representative from the Khas people category.
