The Nepal Communist Party, abbreviated NCP is a defunct communist party which existed in Nepal from 2018 to 2021. It was founded on 17 May 2018, from the unification of two leftist parties, Communist Party of Nepal and Communist Party of Nepal. The unification was completed by the Party Unification Coordination Committee, after eight months of negotiation. <span class="mw-page-title-main">Sudurpashchim Province</span> Province of Nepal

Sudurpashchim Province is one of the seven provinces established by the new constitution of Nepal which was adopted on 20 September 2015. It borders the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north, Karnali Province and Lumbini Province to the east, and India's states of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh to the west and south, respectively. The province covers an area of 19,539 km2, or about 13.22% of the country's total area. Initially known as Province No. 7, the newly elected Provincial Assembly adopted Sudurpashchim Province as the permanent name for the province in September 2018. As per a 28 September 2018 Assembly voting, the city of Godawari has been declared the capital of the Province, But till now Dhangadhi serves as the temporary capital. The province is coterminous with the former Far-Western Development Region, Nepal. The three major cities in terms of population and economy are Dhangadhi, Bhimdutta (Mahendranagar), and Tikapur.

The Provincial Assembly of Sudurpashchim Pradesh also known as the Sudurpashchim Pradesh Sabha, is a unicameral governing and law making body of Sudurpashchim Province, one of the seven Provinces in Nepal. The assembly is seated a Dhangadhi in Kailali District at the District Coordination Committee Hall. The assembly has 53 members of whom 32 are elected through first-past-the-post voting and 21 are elected through proportional representation. The term of the assembly is 5 years unless dissolved earlier

Trilochan Bhatta is a Nepalese politician and former Chief Minister of Sudurpashchim Province, a province in far-western Nepal. He was unanimously selected Parliamentary Party leader of Communist Party of Nepal for Sudurpashchim pradesh on 12 February 2018. He was appointed as the chief minister, according to Article 168 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal and took the oath of his office and secrecy as a chief minister on 17 February 2018.

Mohan Raj Malla was a Nepalese politician and the first Governor of Sudurpashchim Province. He was appointed Governor, as per the Article 163 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal by the President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Nepal on 19 January 2019. He was also former village assembly chief and national assembly member of the Panchayat regime.

Kul Prasad KC is a Nepalese politician and former Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, a province in western Nepal. He was unanimously selected Parliamentary Party leader of CPN(Maoist-centre) for Lumbini Province in 2018. KC was elected from Rolpa 1(A) to provincial Assembly of Lumbini province.

The chief minister of the Sudurpashchim Province is the head of government of Sudurpashchim Province. The chief minister is appointed by the governor of the province according to Article 167 of the Constitution of Nepal. The chief minister remains in office for five years or until the provincial assembly is dissolved, and is subject to no term limits, given that they have the confidence of the assembly.

Astalaxmi Shakya was sworn in as Minority Chief Minister of Bagmati Province on 18 August 2021. After the split of CPN(UML), she's been working on Interim capacity while opposition has claimed majority. She became Chief Minister after the resignation of outgoing chief minister Dormani Poudel as both the parliamentary party leader and chief minister. Here is the list of Minister.

Bhim Acharya was sworn in as Chief Minister of Province No. 1 on 26 August 2021. Here is the list of ministers.

The first Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2017 provincial elections. 53 members were elected to the assembly, 32 of whom were elected through direct elections and 21 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The term of the assembly started on 4 February 2018 and ended in September 2022. Trilochan Bhatta from the CPN served as chief minister during the term of the assembly. Arjun Bahadur Thapa served as the speaker of the assembly and Nirmala Badal Joshi served as the deputy speaker.

Kamal Bahadur Shah is a Nepalese politician served as the Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province. He is also a member of the Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly elected from Kailali 2(A).

The Kamal Bahadur Shah cabinet is the 3rd cabinet of Sudurpashchim Province. It was formed after previous Chief minister, Rajendra Singh Rawal failed to win vote of confidence.
