The Raut Cabinet is the Council of Ministers headed by Mohammad Lalbabu Raut in Madhesh Province, Nepal. Mohammad Lalbabu Raut from Federal Socialist Forum, Nepal was sworn in the Chief Ministers of Madhesh Province in February 2018. [1] Present arrangement of cabinet is the result of talk between two Former Deputy Prime Ministers, PSP-N President Upendra Yadav and Nepali Congress Vice-president Bimalendra Nidhi who have strong hold in this region from their respective parties. [2]

Upendra Yadav is a Nepalese politician who has twice served as Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal and also served as the chairman of the People's Socialist Party, Nepal from 2020 until 2023.
Bimalendra Nidhi is a Nepali politician who serves as a member of the House of Representatives and a senior leader of Nepali Congress. He is the former Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal and Minister of Home Affairs of Nepal. Nidhi has also served as the Vice-president and General secretary of Nepali Congress, for tenures of four consecutive years each.
Madhesh Province is a province of Nepal in the Terai region with an area of 9,661 km2 (3,730 sq mi) covering about 6.5% of the country's total area. It has a population of 6,126,288 as per the 2021 Nepal census, making it Nepal's most densely populated province and the smallest province by area. It borders Koshi Pradesh to the east and the north, Bagmati Province to the north, and India’s Bihar state to the south and the west. The border between Chitwan National Park and Parsa National Park acts as the provincial boundary in the west, and the Kosi River forms the provincial border in the east. The province includes eight districts, from Parsa in the west to Saptari in the east.
The Federal Socialist Forum, Nepal was a democratic socialist political party in Nepal. The party was formed on 15 June 2015 from the merger of the Madhesi Jana Adhikar Forum, Nepal, the Federal Socialist Party Nepal and the Khas Samabeshi Party. On 6 May 2019, the party merged with Naya Shakti Party, Nepal to form Samajbadi Party, Nepal.
Lalbabu Raut also knows as Mohamed Lalbabu raut is the first Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, one of the seven federal Provinces of Nepal. He is the parliamentary party leader of People's Socialist Party, Nepal for Madhesh Province.
The Madhesh Provincial Assembly is a unicameral governing and law making body of Madhesh Province, one of the seven Provinces in Nepal, The assembly is seated in the provincial capital at Janakpur in Dhanusha District. The assembly has 107 members, 64 of whom are elected through single-member constituencies and 43 of whom are elected through the party list proportional representation system. They are elected for five-year terms unless the assembly is dissolved earlier.

Ram Saroj Yadav is a Nepalese politician and member of Provincial Assembly. Yadav was also the parliamentary party leader for the Nepali Congress in the Provincial Assembly and Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development of Madhesh Province. He is also a expeditionary of Maithili language and had come in light after demanding it as official language of Madhesh Province.
Birendra Prasad Singh is a Nepalese politician who is Minister of Health and Population of Madhesh Province. Singh is also a member of Provincial Assembly of Madhesh Province and was elected to the 2017 provincial assembly elections from Sarlahi-4(A).
Om Prakash Sharma is a Nepali politician of Nepali Congress and Minister for Energy and Drinking water since 9 June 2021. He is also serving as member of the Madhesh Province Provincial Assembly.
Kul Prasad KC is a Nepalese politician and former Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, a province in western Nepal. He was unanimously selected Parliamentary Party leader of CPN(Maoist-centre) for Lumbini Province in 2018. KC was elected from Rolpa 1(A) to provincial Assembly of Lumbini province.
The 2021 split in the People's Socialist Party, Nepal (PSP-N) was a factional dispute amongst the leadership over party control beginning in May and culminating in July, with the faction led by former Deputy Prime Minister Upendra Yadav succeeding over the faction of former First Chairman Mahantha Thakur. The dispute was settled as a result of a decision of the Election Commission, which handed control to Yadav's faction, forcing the departure of the Thakur faction from the PSP-N and requiring the formation of a new party.
The Jeevan Bahadur Shahi cabinet is the council assembled by Jeevan Bahadur Shahi, who was sworn in as Chief Minister of Karnali Province on 3 November 2021. This government was supported by CPN(Maoist-Centre) and CPN.

The term of the assembly started on 4 February 2018 and ended in September 2022. Lalbabu Raut from the People's Socialist Party served as the chief minister during the term of the assembly. Saroj Kumar Yadav served as the speaker of the assembly and Upama Kumari Dev served as the deputy speaker.
The Second Federal Parliament of Nepal, was elected by the 2022 general elections on 20 November 2022. The elections elected 275 Members of Parliament (MPs), 165 for each constituency and 110 through the party list, to the House of Representatives. The parliament convened for the first time on 9 January 2023.

The assembly has 64 constituency seats in which members are elected through direct elections and 43 proportional representation party list seats. The term of the assembly is 5 years unless dissolved earlier. The first session of the assembly started from 2 January 2023.
