The total area of the province is 21,504 km² - about 14.57% of the country's total area. According to the latest census, the population of the province was 2,403,757. Karnali Province Province of Nepal

Karnali Province is one of the seven federal provinces of Nepal formed by the new constitution which was adopted on 20 September 2015. The total area of the province is 27,984 square kilometres (10,805 sq mi) covering 18.97% of the country, making it the largest province in Nepal. According to the 2011 Nepal census, the population of the province was 1,570,418, making it the least populous province in Nepal. It borders the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north, Gandaki Province to the east, Sudurpashchim Province to the west, and Lumbini Province to the south. Birendranagar with a population of 47,914 is both the province's capital and largest city.

Prithvi Subba Gurung is a Nepalese politician and former Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, a province in western Nepal. He is presently the leader of opposition in Gandaki. He was member of the 1st Nepalese Constituent Assembly and Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal. He was unanimously selected Parliamentary Party leader of CPN (UML) for Gandaki Province on 11 February 2018.

The Provincial Assembly of Gandaki Province also known as the Gandaki Province Sabha, is a unicameral governing and law making body of Gandaki Province, one of the seven provinces in Nepal. The assembly is seated at the provincial capital Pokhara in Kaski District at the Urban Development Training Centre. The assembly has 60 members of whom 36 are elected through first-past-the-post voting and 24 of whom are elected through proportional representation. The term of the assembly is five years until dissolved earlier.

Shankar Pokharel resigned on 11 August 2021.

Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel Nepalese politician and Chief Minister of Gandaki Province

Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel also known as Krishna Chandra Nepali is a Nepalese politician and Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, a province in western Nepal. He was unanimously selected Parliamentary Party leader of Nepali Congress for Gandaki Province after potential CM candidate Pradip Poudel lost in his constituency with less than 100 vote's margin. Nepali is ex-member of NC central committee.

Krishna Chandra Nepali Cabinet

Krishna Chandra Nepali was sworn in as Chief Minister of Gandaki Province on 12 June 2021. This government was supported by CPN(Maoist-Centre), PSP-N while Rastriya Janamorcha supported without joining the government.

Kumar Khadka is a Nepali politician of Nepali Congress and Minister in Gandaki government since 12 June 2021. As of 2013, he was the chairman of the Akhanda Nepal party which later on joined Nepali Congress ahead of the 2017 Nepalese local elections. He is also serving as member of the Gandaki Province Provincial Assembly. Khadka was elected to the 2017 provincial assembly elections from proportional list of the party. He including three other ministers joined Krishna Chandra Nepali cabinet in first lot. He joined Krishna Chandra Nepali cabinet as Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, Urban Development and Transport Management on 12 June 2021.

Chief minister (Nepal)

In Nepal, a chief minister is the elected head of government of each of the seven provinces. The chief minister is appointed by the governor of the provinces according to Article 167 of the Constitution of Nepal. The term of office of a Chief of Province shall be five years.

Prithvi Man Gurung is the governor of Gandaki Province, Nepal. He was appointed by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari on recommendation of the council of ministers of the federal government on 27 July 2021. He succeeded Sita Kumari Poudel.
