Dimitrios Soutzos (Greek : Δημήτριος Σούτζος) was the mayor of Athens between 1879 and 1887.
He was the son of Skarlatos Soutzos, a descendant of the distinguished Phanariot Soutzos family who became a Major General in the Greek Army, and of Elpis Kantakouzinou, daughter of the magnate and freedom fighter Alexandros Kantakouzinos.
He was elected for the first time as mayor of Athens on 11 May 1879. Re-elected for the second term, he remained in office until 30 September 1887.

Michael Soutzos, was a member of the Soutzos family of Phanariotes, he was the grandson of Michael Drakos Soutzos; he was in turn a Prince of Moldavia, between 12 June 1819 and 29 March 1821. He was initiated into Filiki Eteria, he supported the Greek revolution in Moldavia and Wallachia and after the creation of the Greek state, he served as ambassador of the country abroad.

Ioanni Korai was a Greek painter that shared the same name as his famous uncle Ioannis Korais. He was a prominent painter on the Ionian Islands. His family migrated to Zakynthos from Chios. He was a member of the Heptanese School. His contemporaries were Dionysios Kallivokas and Nikolaos Koutouzis. He was taught painting by Ioannis Korais. He was active during the Modern Greek Enlightenment and Greek romanticism in art. He influenced countless Greek and Italian painters. Korai brought Greek artwork into the Modern Greek art period. Twelve of his paintings survived. His most notable painting is a portrait of Kyriakos Chorafas painted in 1826. The painting is at the National Gallery of Athens.
