Dinakar S (born 21 September 1978), mononymously known as Dinakar Thoogudeepa, is an Indian film director, actor and producer who works mainly in Kannada films. [2] who started his film career as an actor from the movie Ayyo Pandu in 2004 later he worked as assistant director for few Kannada movies. [3] He become full-fledged director from the Kannada movie Jothe Jotheyali in 2006.[ citation needed ]

One of the leading contemporary actors of Kannada cinema, Darshan established the production house Thoogudeepa Productions in 2006. Its first production was Jothe Jotheyali, with Darshan in a special appearance. His performances in Anatharu (2007) and Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna (2012) won him praise from critics; his performance in the latter as the 19th-century warrior Sangolli Rayanna won him the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor.

Saarathi is a 2011 Indian Kannada-language romantic action film written and directed by Dinakar Thoogudeep. It stars Darshan and debutante Deepa Sannidhi in the lead roles. V. Harikrishna scored for the film's background and its soundtrack, while the lyrics were penned by V. Nagendra Prasad.

Prem Kumar, known mononymously as Prem, also popularly called as Nenapirali Prem, is an Indian actor and producer who works in Kannada films. He made his acting debut through the film Praana (2004). However, his major break came through the film Nenapirali (2005) for which he won his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor.
