Dio Lequaglie (born October 12, 1963 in Civitavecchia) is a retired beach volleyball player from Italy. In 1993 he won the bronze medal at the first official European Championships in men's beach volleyball, partnering with Andrea Ghiurghi.

The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour was the worldwide professional beach volleyball tour for both men and women organized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The World Tour was introduced 1989 for men and in 1992 for women being held yearly since then until 2021 when it was replaced by the new Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour.

Christoph Dieckmann is a male beach volleyball player from Germany. He claimed the gold medal at the 2006 European Championships in The Hague, Netherlands, partnering Julius Brink. He competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. His twin brother, Markus, is also a professional beach volleyball player in the international circuit.

Andrea Ghiurghi is a retired male beach volleyball player from Italy who competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta for his native country. In 1993, he won the bronze medal at the first official European Championships in men's beach volleyball, partnering Dio Lequaglie. In 1996, with Nicola Grigolo, he won another bronze medal at the European Championships Master in Pescara. His best international finishes are three second places in the FIVB World Tour in 1991, 1996, and 2005 with partners Dio Lequaglie, Nicola Grigolo, and Gianni Mascagna, respectively. At the national level, he won eight national titles: in 1985, 1986, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, and 2003.

Andreas Scheuerpflug is a German beach volleyball player. Scheuerpflug participated for Germany in both the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics. He partnered with Oliver Oetke in Sydney, and the pair failed to win a match. Scheuerpflug had more success in Athens, where he partnered with Christoph Dieckmann and won their pool, ultimately finishing in a tie for fifth place. In 2005 Scheuerpflug had a fight with his partner, Adam Braust. The fight was short-lived and ended about a month after it began. Professionally, Scheuerpflug won four career tournaments, all with Dieckmann.
