Kerri Lee Walsh Jennings is an American professional beach volleyball player, three-time Olympic gold medalist, and a one-time Olympic bronze medalist. She is the beach volleyball leader in career victories as of 2016 having won 135 international and domestic tournaments.
Charles Frederick "Karch" Kiraly is an American volleyball player, coach, and broadcast announcer. He was a central part of the U.S National Team that won gold medals at the 1984 and 1988 Olympic Games. He went on to win the gold medal again at the 1996 Olympic Games, the first Olympic competition to feature beach volleyball. He is the only player to have won Olympic medals of any color in both the indoor and beach volleyball categories. He played college volleyball for the UCLA Bruins, where his teams won three national championships under head coach Al Scates.
Andrea Giani is an Italian professional volleyball coach and former player who scored numerous successes in the 1990s, including three World Championships with his national team. He is considered one of the best volleyball players ever. He was an all-rounder able to play both as outside hitter and as middle blocker, but he played several times as opposite too.
Andrea Gardini is an Italian professional volleyball coach and former player, a silver and bronze Olympic Games medallist, three–time World Champion, and four–time European Champion. Gardini was inducted into the Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2007. He currently serves as head coach for the Polish PlusLiga team, Skra Bełchatów.

Emanuel Fernando Sheffer Rego is a male former beach volleyball player from Brazil who competed in five consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1996. He won the gold medal in the men's beach team competition at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, partnering with Ricardo Santos. He famously offered his medal to his compatriot Vanderlei de Lima – who won a bronze in the men's marathon after being attacked by Neil Horan – a year later, though it was politely declined.
Paul Laciga is a beach volleyball player from Switzerland who won the silver medal in the men's beach team competition at the 2005 Beach Volleyball World Championships in Berlin, Germany, partnering Sascha Heyer. He represented his native country at two consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 2000.
Tonya Slacanin,, formerly known as "Teee" Williams or "Teee" Sanders, is a retired female volleyball player from the United States. She won the bronze medal with the USA National Team at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. She also competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics, finishing in seventh place. She played college women's volleyball with the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball team.

Aleksey Igorevich Verbov is a retired Russian volleyball player, a former member of Russia men's national volleyball team and the Russian club Zenit Kazan. He is currently coaching the men's Zenit Kazan team.
Jonas Reckermann is a retired beach volleyball player from Germany. Together with his most recent partner Julius Brink, he won the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, which, along with Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst are the most successful Olympic appearances of a German beach volleyball team. They were the first European duo to win the Olympic gold medal – male or female competition. In addition to that they also were the first European team ever to win a world championship title and are currently ranked 22nd on the FIVB World Tour.
Debora Schoon-Kadijk is a former professional beach volleyball player from the Netherlands. She twice represented her native country at the Summer Olympics, in 1996 and 2000. Partnering her sister Rebekka Kadijk she claimed the bronze medal at the 2000 European Championships in Bilbao, Spain, after having won silver two years earlier on Rhodes.
Vegard Høidalen is a former professional beach volleyball player from Norway who twice represented his native country at the Summer Olympics: 2000 and 2004. Partnering with Jørre Kjemperud, he won the bronze medal in the men's beach team competition at the 2001 Beach Volleyball World Championships in Klagenfurt, Austria.
Dio Lequaglie is a retired beach volleyball player from Italy. In 1993 he won the bronze medal at the first official European Championships in men's beach volleyball, partnering with Andrea Ghiurghi.
Alexander Horst is a beach volleyball player from Austria. He currently plays on the FIVB World Beach Volleyball Tour with new partner Clemens Doppler. Horst found most success with partner Florian Gosch on the FIVB World Beach Volleyball Tour, however a knee injury forced Florian Gosch into early retirement in autumn 2010.
April Elizabeth Ross is an American beach volleyball player and three-time Olympic medalist. She won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics with Jennifer Kessy, a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics with Kerri Walsh Jennings, and a gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics with Alix Klineman. Ross and Kessy were also the 2009 Beach Volleyball World Champions.
Kira Katharina Walkenhorst is a retired German beach volleyball player who played as a blocker. She has an older brother Alexander Walkenhorst who is a professional beach volleyball player and a younger sister Pia Walkenhorst who also plays beach volleyball.
Sarah Lindsey Pavan is a Canadian beach volleyball and former indoor volleyball player. She was part of the Canada women's national volleyball team at the 2010 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Japan. With Melissa Humana-Paredes she won the women's gold medal at the 2019 Beach Volleyball World Championships.
Anders Berntsen Mol is a Norwegian beach volleyball player. He won the gold medal at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Kelly Marie Cheng is an American beach volleyball player. She and her partner Sara Hughes won the bronze medal at the 2013 U19 World Championships, the silver medal at the 2014 U21 World Championships, and back-to-back NCAA Championships in 2016 and 2017.
