Diomede Cishahayo (born 15 September 1965) is a retired long distance Burundian runner.
He finished eighth in the 5000 metres at the 1989 Jeux de la Francophonie [1] and competed in the 3000 metres at the 1991 World Indoor Championships without reaching the final. [2] He competed, and finished lowly, at the 1991 World Cross Country Championships, the 1992 World Cross Country Championships and the 1993 World Half Marathon Championships.
His personal best times were 7:50.22 minutes in the 3000 metres, achieved in July 1991 in Rome; 13:41.6 minutes in the 5000 metres, achieved in July 1993 in San Giovanni Valdarno; and 28:14.80 minutes in the 10,000 metres, achieved in June 1996 in Domodossola. In road races he had 1:01:43 hours in the half marathon, in January 1997 in Marrakesh (a Burundian record; and 2:23:37 hours in the marathon, in December 1999 in Assisi. [3]

Mark Kosgey Kiptoo is a Kenyan long-distance runner who set the world record in the marathon for the Masters age group by running 2:07:50 in the 2018 Frankfurt Marathon. He also specialized in the 5000 metres throughout his career. He is a two-time gold medalist in the event at the Military World Games and won bronze medals over the distance at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and the 2010 African Championships in Athletics. He has also represented Kenya at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships and the All-Africa Games.

He has a half marathon best of 58:46 minutes and a marathon best of 2:07:06 hours. On the roads, he has won the Philadelphia Half Marathon, Kagawa Marugame Half Marathon and Stramilano races.
Andrew James Vernon is a British long-distance runner who specialised in the 5000 metres, the 10,000 metres on track and cross country running. After the 2018 commonwealth games and started to concentrate on the roads winning Manchester Half Marathon with the aim of doing a full marathon in 2019. Vernon competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's 10,000 metres. He has also competed in two Commonwealth Games, a World Indoor Championship and six World Cross Country Championships. Vernon is a two-time European Athletics Championship medallist and a Summer Universiade gold medallist. He currently competes for Aldershot, Farnham & District AC.
Annette Sergent is a French former long-distance runner. She represented her country three times at the Summer Olympics, but it was in cross country running that she had her greatest success. She became the first Frenchwoman to win a world title in the sport at the 1987 IAAF World Cross Country Championships and won for a second time in 1989. In addition to these victories, she made eleven appearances at the competition and placed third in both 1986 and 1988.
