Dionisio Montorselli (1653 - circa 1712 [1] ) was an Italian painter of the late-Baroque period.

Biography

He was born in L'Aquila, but mainly active in Siena painting for churches. In 1685, he traveled to Rome where he became a follower of Pietro da Cortona and Guido Reni. [2] he painted works in the Oratory of San Chiodi (adjacent to the church of San Michele in Poggio); [3] San Vigilio; [4] and Santa Maria in Provenzano.

The Castello di Belcaro is a Renaissance villa built at the site of a Castle once belonging to the Republic of Siena in Tuscany. It is located some 5.5 kilometers southwest of the Siena city gate of Porta San Marco, on the direction towards Grosseto, it is beyond a former benedictine monastery and church of Sant'Eugenio. The address is strada di Terrenzano e Belcaro #32.
