Diploma is a Degree course offered by various Organisations, Institutions and Universities in different states of India. The courses and syllabus are designed and approved by All India Council of Technical Education. The educational system is also called Polytechnic. Students opt for these courses after passing out from 10th or 12th schooling in India.

Al-Kabir Polytechnic is a technical polytechnic institute in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. It is located in Purulia Road in Jamshedpur. The college was opened in the year of 1990. Malda Polytechnic is one of the oldest Government Polytechnic colleges of West Bengal, India under the Department of Technical Education & Training, Government of West Bengal. This college offers diploma courses in five streams of Engineering conducted by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education. This college was established in 1962 in the form of a Government-Sponsored Polytechnic and subsequently it became a Government Polytechnic. It is an elite Institute of Malda District with the maximum percentage of placement in Government and Private sectors. This college has a strong infrastructure consisting of well equipped and spacious laboratories, workshops, library, audio-visual cell, training and placement cell etc. This polytechnic is affiliated to the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education, and recognised by AICTE, New Delhi.

The standard entry-to-practice degree in modern evidence-based medicine in India is the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Alternative systems of Medicine in India are Ayurveda (BAMS), Unani (BUMS), Siddha(BSMS), Homeopathy (BHMS). M.B.B.S. a credential earned upon completion of a five-and-a-half-year undergraduate program. The curriculum is divided into one year of preclinical studies in general science subjects and three and a half years of paraclinical and clinical studies, followed by a one-year clinical internship. Before beginning the internship, students are required to pass several examinations, the final one of which is conducted in two parts. Postgraduate education in medical specialties typically takes 3 additional years of study after the MBBS and concludes with the award of a Master of Surgery or Doctor of Medicine(MD). Postgraduate diplomas in medical specialities may also be awarded upon the completion of two-year training programs. After that a person can further get a degree in superspeciality in his or her respective branch after successful completion of 3 years of superspeciality in a medical college.

Bachelor of Architecture (India) is an education pursued after 10+2 and clearing National Aptitude Test in Architecture conducted by Council of Architecture for a career in Architecture. They perform various roles in private or government organisations as architectural designer, architectural engineer, architectural draftsman, architectural assistant, Indian Railways, Defence Ministry, Municipal Corporation, National Building Organization, National Institutes of Urban Affairs and government architects.
