Dirt Metal is Finnish power metal band Thunderstone's fifth album. It features their new vocalist Rick Altzi (At Vance, Frequency (Band), Sandalinas) and their new keyboardist Jukka Karinen (also of the band Status Minor).

Wintersun is a Finnish heavy metal band from Helsinki originally formed as the side project of Jari Mäenpää, then-vocalist and guitarist of folk metal band Ensiferum.
Thunderstone is a power metal band from Helsinki, Finland. The band was formed in 2000 by guitarist Nino Laurenne and the line-up became complete in the following year. After the release of the band's self-titled debut album, Thunderstone, the band toured Europe supporting Stratovarius and Symphony X. Thunderstone released its first four albums through Nuclear Blast; however, their album Dirt Metal was released in October 2009 under Sony Music label.
Wintersun is the 2004 debut studio album by heavy metal band Wintersun, then the solo project of Jari Mäenpää. The Japanese edition of the album was released with the original three demo tracks used to obtain a contract with Nuclear Blast.

Sandalinas is a Spanish/Swedish progressive metal band founded in 2001 by guitarist Jordi Sandalinas, featuring Rick Altzi on vocals. Apollo Papathanasio, ex-Firewind and Spiritual Beggars sang on the band's debut album called Living on the Edge. Their first album, Living on the Edge, was produced by Andy LaRocque and released in 2005.
Ur jordens djup is the fourth full-length Finntroll album. It was released on March 28, 2007. The album is the first to feature vocalist Mathias Lillmåns, who replaced Tapio Wilska in 2006. Unlike in Nattfödd, the lyrics for this album were written by the band's original vocalist, Jan "Katla" Jämsen.
Evolution 4.0 is Finnish power metal band Thunderstone's fourth album. It features the song "Forevermore" with which they participated in the pre-selections of the Eurovision contest.
The New Dark Age is the third studio album by the Finnish heavy metal band Kiuas. The album was released through Spinefarm Records on March 12, 2008 for Finland with new dates to be announced for other areas. The song, "Conqueror", directed by Owe Lingwall was shot as a music video on February 18, 2008. "Of Sacrifice, Loss and Reward" was released on February 20 as a single in Finland and topped the Finnish charts at number 1. The single will include two other songs and a Japanese bonus track exclusively to the single and Japan only. The album cover was designed by Niklas Sundin of Cabin Fever Media, and guitarist for Dark Tranquillity. It is of an original renaissance woodcut illustration with the portrayal of Kiuas' band members as the "five" Horsemen of the Apocalypse. A second music video for "The Decaying Doctrine" was again directed by Owe Lingwall.
