Disown was formed in 2000 by its founding members Jason "Jae" Rohrer on vocals and rhythm guitar, Mitch Langford on lead guitar and sequencing, Jesse Rohrer on bass guitar and Gerry Lakarosky on the drums.[1] They released their first LP titled Angels and Atheists in 2002. [2] An article of the Daily Kent Stater written by Mark Bodkin documented the recording process of their first release .[3] That same year the band replaced their drummer Gerry Lakarosky with Scott Kaczmarek.
Disown performed on the Ozzfest 2004 tour from July 10, 2004 - September 4, 2004. During the tour they performed in front of more than 30,000 people, as opening act on the Second stage. In 2006 Disown began their east coast tour of 13 states and 39 cities,[4] alongside new bassist, Krystle Carter and new guitarist Mikal. Soon after the tour, Jae Rohrer began working on Disown's 3rd full-length album entitled "Grave New World". However tragedy struck on March 4, 2008 as their new guitarist Mikal, was involved in a fatal car accident in Michigan, and died two days later on March 6, 2008. Mikal's funeral was held on March 11. The band members refused to comment on the situation. Since then, the band has fallen under the radar of the mainstream media.
During their hayday the band opened for several national acts. They were named in the Top 20 best artist on Myspace in 2008. Disown received sponsorship by Sam Ash Music and endorsements from Halo Guitars. The band was also nominated for Best Goth/Industrial Act three years in a row by the Cleveland Free Times.[citation needed]
Napalm Death are an English grindcore band formed in Meriden, West Midlands in 1981. None of the band's original members have been in the group since 1986, but since Utopia Banished (1992), the lineup of bassist Shane Embury, guitarist Mitch Harris, drummer Danny Herrera and lead vocalist Mark "Barney" Greenway has remained consistent through most of the band's career. From 1989 to 2004, Napalm Death were a five-piece band after they added Jesse Pintado and Mitch Harris as replacements for guitarist Bill Steer. Following Pintado's departure, the band reverted to a four-piece.

Atomship is a four-piece American alternative metal band that was most recently composed of Joey Culver, Chad Kent, Roy Williams, and Jared Slade. They are best known for their 2004 single "Pencil Fight". Nathan Slade was the band's original guitarist and songwriter until his death in December 2009. The band was known as Watership Down in 2002, before changing their name due to copyright to Atomship that year. Due to original vocalist Derek Pardoe's anxiety, Joey Culver took over his place as lead singer, and for the recording of their debut album The Crash of '47, released in 2004. Atomship later broke up after the death of Nathan Slade. This led to the band's disbandment later that year. The original band members briefly reunited in 2017 with Jared Slade and performed several local shows In 2006, Atomship reformed as AtomshipDown. In 2010, AtomshipDown reverted their name back to Watership Down. In 2017, the band reformed Atomship with vocalist Joey Culver.
Ending Is the Beginning: The Mitch Lucker Memorial Show is a live video album by American deathcore band Suicide Silence. It was released on CD/DVD/Blu-ray on February 18, 2014. The performance was organized in memorial of founding Suicide Silence vocalist Mitch Lucker, after his death from injuries sustained by a motorcycle accident on November 1, 2012. The performance featured a range of guest vocalists for each of the songs, each of whom were close to Lucker in some way. The title is derived from the title of the opening track of their debut self-titled EP. In 2013, Hernan Hermida, former vocalist of All Shall Perish took over Mitch Lucker's place as a new singer for Suicide Silence. Original Suicide Silence members Rick Ash on guitar and Josh Goddard on drums made a surprise reunion to perform the first 3 songs off of the self titled EP, Destruction of a Statue which was later re-recorded in the debut studio album The Cleansing, Distorted Thought of Addiction, and Ending Is the Beginning which was also later re-recorded in the album You Can't Stop Me, which was released in 2014. Original bass player Mike Bodkins didn't participate on the memorial show. Guitarist Mark Heylmun played bass for the first 3 songs. After which, the current line up played the rest of the songs.
