The Dodge County Fair is the annual county fair held in Dodge County, Wisconsin. The fair is held every year in August starting from the 3rd Wednesday of the month through the following Sunday at the Dodge County Fairgrounds. [1] [2]
The first Dodge County Fair was held in the fall of 1853 in Juneau. [3] For the next three decades the location of the fair was in Juneau with the exception of the county fairs of 1855 and 1874 which were held in Beaver Dam, and the fair of 1856 which was held at Horicon. [4] [5]
On October 5, 1887, the fair was held in Beaver Dam at grounds which are now part of the Wayland Academy. [6] [7]
In 1961, the Dodge County Fair Association moved the fair to the newly purchased fairgrounds along Highway 33, east of Beaver Dam which serves as the present day location for the fair. The site is known as the Dodge County Fairgrounds. [8] [9] [10]
The fair features food festivals, music concerts, livestock shows and other entertainment activities and is attended by over 50000 people annually. [11] [12] [13] [14]

Wayland Academy is a selective private, coeducational college preparatory boarding high school located in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, United States. The student population at the beginning of the 2024–2025 school year was 200. Nearly three-quarters of the students board at the school.
The Williams Free Library is a public building in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. It was the first public library in the United States to have open stacks. In 1985 the building was abandoned and the library was relocated and renamed the Beaver Dam Community Library. While the building is no longer used as a library, its Richardsonian Romanesque design remains one of the city's architectural gems.

The Vermont State Fair is an annual state fair held in Rutland, Vermont at the Vermont State Fairgrounds. In the past, the event had taken place in early September, and lasted 9 to 10 days. The Beaver Dam Micropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) and Fond du Lac MSA form the Fond du Lac Beaver Dam Combined Statistical Area. The MSA had an estimated population of 88,489.

Parker Warren was an American farmer from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin who served a one-year term in 1849 as a Free Soil Party member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from Dodge County.

Hotel Rogers is a historic structure located in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, whose construction was headed by Fred Rogers in 1927-28. The site was formerly occupied by Roedl, Jacobs and Hall, a lumber, building materials and fuel store which was razed in 1924 to build the hotel. Rogers who was then president of the Malleable Iron Range Company, built the 6 story hotel to cater to tourists and the salesmen that frequently visited the city. Additional floor space on the sixth level was added in 1931. This building was operated as a hotel by his daughter, Ann Rogers-Pfieffer until 1987.
Clason Prairie or Clason's Prairie was a former settlement in the Town of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, United States, roughly four miles southeast of Beaver Dam. It was named after James Clason, a native of Connecticut who settled there in 1841 and died in 1848. The one-room Clason Prairie School was closed down in 1962, although the building was still standing as of 1977. The old Clason Prairie Cemetery is still extant, at 43°24′49″N88°46′52″W; it is maintained by the town.
The Merced County Fairgrounds are home to the annual Merced County Fair, the county fair of Merced County, California. The Merced County Fair was first held on September 2, 1891. The first fair was held on 18th Street in Merced and was a joint county fair with neighboring Mariposa County. The Merced County Fair showcases livestock, exhibits, carnival rides, music and fair food each year.
