Dog Hollow is a valley in Pope County, Illinois, in the United States. [1]

Legend has it the hollow was so named on account of two settlers being chased there by a headless dog. [2]

The recreation area is located near Karbers Ridge, an unincorporated hamlet within nearby Hardin County, Illinois.
