Doll's House is a Bangladeshi television soap opera written by Abul Kalam Azad, Chonchol and Tazin Ahmed. The serial ran on ATN Bangla from 2007 to 2009, with 380 episodes in all. It is set in modern-day Dhaka. It stars Suborna Mustafa, Shompa Reza, Mita Chowdhury, Wahida Mollick Jolly, Chitralekha Guha, Traupa Majumder, Jeetu Ahsan, Intekhab Dinar, Bonna Mirza, Farhana Mithu, Bijori Barkatullah, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Shanjida Priti, Shojol, Humayun Faridi, Tushar Khan and the co-writer himself, Abul Kalam Azad.
The Bangla Academy is an autonomous institution funded by the Bangladesh government that fosters the Bengali language, literature and culture, works to develop and implement national language policy and to do original research in the Bengali language. Daruchini Dwip is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language film. It was released on 31 August 2007 throughout Bangladesh. The film is based on the Bangladeshi novelist and film maker Humayun Ahmed’s popular novel of the same name. It was directed by popular actor - director Tauquir Ahmed. Daruchini Dwip stars Riaz, Fazlur Rahman Babu, the award-winning Zakia Bari Momo, Abul Hayat, Asaduzzaman Noor, Dolly Johur, Challenger, Rahmat Ali, Wahida Mollick Jolly and Abdullah al Mamun. The film marks the debut film of Momo, Emon, Bindu, and Munmun.

The film was pulled from theatres due to the hostile response of some segments of the audience after its release in January 2011. Krishnopokkho is a 2016 Bangladeshi Bengali language romance drama film based on novel of the same name written by Humayun Ahmed. The film's adapted screenplay was written and directed by Meher Afroz Shaon and starring Riaz, Tania Ahmed, Ferdous Ahmed, Wahida Mollick Jolly and Faruque Ahmed. This is the debut film by the director. The storyline revolves around two star-crossed lovers who are not destined to be together.
Sincerely Yours, Dhaka is a 2018 Impress Telefilm drama film produced as Bangladesh's first anthology film directed by eleven individual directors. It is a collection of gritty shorts centered on the capital city of Bangladesh, Dhaka, and the people living in its margins. It was awarded "Best Original Screenplay" at the 11th edition of the Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF), held from January 18 to 22, 2019 in Jaipur, India. It is one of the first two films to enter Netflix originating from Bangladesh. It was selected as the Bangladeshi entry for Best International Feature Film at the 93rd Academy Awards, but it was not nominated. It was also screened at 51st International Film Festival of India in January 2021 in Country in focus section.

Shuvro, sometimes transliterated as Shubhro or Śubhra, is a fictional character created by Bangladeshi writer Humayun Ahmed. Shuvro is one of Ahmed's recurring characters, who first appeared in the short story "Ekti Shada Gari". The character became popular, and Ahmed wrote six novels about Shuvro between 1990 and 2010, including Daruchini Dip, which was adapted as a film in 2007 starring Riaz as Shuvro.

From his early career in Television industry he is famous for making Drama Series."Syed Barir Bou" was the first and most popular drama serial which was aired on ATN Bangla. Bangladeshi Actress Pori Moni made her first debut on "Second Innings" Drama Serial which was Directed by Idris Haider. He is the chairman of record label company Wow Play TV. His recent film "Nil Foring" is awaited to be released on 2021 which is delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic. As he announced in media he is going to make another film "Amar Shonar Bangla, Ami Tomay Valobashi."
