Sixth Happiness is a 1997 British drama film directed by Indian director Waris Hussein. It is based on the 1991 autobiography of Firdaus Kanga, entitled Trying to Grow. Kanga plays a fictionalized version of himself in the film, which involves themes about Britain, India, race and sex. Sixth Happiness also features performances from Souad Faress, Nina Wadia, Indira Varma, and Meera Syal.

Quasar Thakore Padamsee is an Indian stage actor turned theatre director. Both his parents, Alyque Padamsee and Dolly Thakore, are renowned stage actors. His mother was a casting director for the Academy Award-winning film Gandhi in 1982. His father played the role of Jinnah in the same movie.

Tara Deshpande is an Indian actress, writer, former model and MTV VJ. Tara hosted a show called Kab Kyon Kahaan on Zee TV, along with Parth and then with Vinay Jain in the early 1990s. She appeared in several acclaimed films such as Sudhir Mishra's Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin and Kaizad Gustad's Bombay Boys. Since her marriage to an American citizen and moving to Boston in 2001, she lives in the Boston area. Her husband is a graduate of Harvard Business School and is in finance. Tara published her first book at the age of 23, Fifty and Done (HarperCollins). Before entering the world of movies she was a model and MTV VJ and a regular on the Mumbai stage. She played Begum Sumroo in Alyque Padamsee's play of the same name. Her book, A Sense for Spice: Recipes and Stories from a Konkan Kitchen was published in 2012 and Indian Sense of Salad in 2018. She travels between NYC and Mumbai.

The Women of India Leadership Summit now renamed Women of India Summit was founded by Divya Chandra and Mudita Chandra was held at the India Islamic Cultural Centre in New Delhi, India. The summit aims to help the urban women in the National Capital Region to empower themselves. It is the only Women's summit in the country that actively creates programs for both men and women, in its attempt to address the problem of gender inequality at various levels of the society.

Guwahati Theatre Festival is an annual theatre festival held in Guwahati city of Assam state, India. The festival is organized by G Plus, an English-language weekly tabloid newspaper in Guwahati. The festival aims to provide a platform to performing groups to showcase their productions before a new audience in the Guwahati city and North East region.
Hosi Hormusji Vasunia, known popularly as Hosi Vasunia, was an Indian theatre personality and film and television actor. He acted in the English theatre in Bombay ; he also appeared in Gujarati plays and in Hindi films and television. He was part of the flourishing of drama in Mumbai in the 1970s and 1980s and 1990s and continued the long tradition of Parsi theatre in India.
