Dome Records is a British record label which has existed since 1992, specialising in soul and contemporary R&B music.
The label, also known as Dôme Records, was formed in 1992, and has consistently been voted as the United Kingdom's leading black music label, by readers of Blues & Soul magazine. [1] Artists signed by Dome Records include Beverley Knight, Hill St Soul, Dennis Taylor, Eric Roberson, Tortured Soul, Incognito, Brenda Russell, Rahsaan Patterson, Donnie, Angela Johnson, Martha Redbone, Carleen Anderson, George Duke, Full Flava and Don-E. [1] The label also issued Lulu's Independence album in 1993, with a title track that became particularly popular in Europe. "I'm Back for More", a duet on the album with Lulu and Bobby Womack, became the label's first chart success. [2] Dome Records is also the British label for the late American singer-songwriter Andrew Gold. [3]
The label was started by Peter Robinson and was initially associated with EMI Records. The label became fully independent in 1995. [2] Prior to starting Dome Records, Robinson had been an A&R person for the RCA, Chrysalis and CBS labels. [2]
The label's orientation towards urban black music commenced with the release of Beverley Knight's album, The B-Funk , in 1994. [2] The label was noted for developing longstanding relationships with certain artists, such as Full Flava. [2] Initially focusing on British acts, the label accepted offers to produce, develop or distribute a number of American acts, such as Eric Roberson and Rahsaan Patterson. The latter two are American, artists previously signed to major labels, who now release their music independently in the United States, and through Dome Records in the United Kingdom. [2]

Anytime is the third studio album by American singer Brian McKnight. It was released by Mercury Records on September 23, 1997 in the United States. Following his moderately successful second album I Remember You (1995), McKnight consulted a wider range of collaborators to work with him on the album, including producers Sean Combs, Keith Thomas, Poke & Tone and songwriters Diane Warren, and Peter Black. While McKnight would provide most of the material by himself, Anytime deviated from the contemporary sound of his older work, with the former acts taking his music further into the hip hop soul genre.

Prodigal Sista is the second studio album by British R&B singer-songwriter Beverley Knight. It was released by Parlophone on 17 August 1998 in the United Kingdom. Eric Roberson is a singer, songwriter and producer from Rahway, New Jersey. He is sometimes referred to simply as Erro, the name which he later used as part of his label Blue Erro Soul. His first single, "The Moon", was released through Warner Bros. Records in 1994 and recorded an album for that label which remains unreleased.

The album became Knight's second highest charting album in the UK, peaking at number eight.

100% is the sixth studio album by English singer-songwriter Beverley Knight. It was released on 7 September 2009 through Knight's own record label Hurricane Record, following her departure from Parlophone. The lead single from the album, "Beautiful Night" was released as a download-only on the same day as the album. A radio only first single, "Every Step", produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis was added to BBC Radio 2's B-list on 17 June 2009. It was released as a free download on 6 July 2009 for two weeks. A remix album, titled 100% – The Remixes was released exclusively on digital download via Beatport on 29 January 2012. It features remixes of three of the 100% album singles, "Beautiful Night", "In Your Shoes" and "Soul Survivor".
"Soul Survivor" is the third single release from British singer-songwriter Beverley Knight's sixth studio album, 100%. The song is a duet with soul singer Chaka Khan. The song received a full digital download single release on 8 March 2010. There are two versions of the song, the album version and the radio edit, which halves verse one of the song.
Mamas Gun is a five-piece London based band whose fourth album, Golden Days, was released in 2018 on their independent label Candelion. Their first album Routes to Riches successfully broke them in Japan where they became the most played international artist on Japanese radio in 2009. They have since toured and performed all over the world, particularly broadening their profile in South East Asia in places such as South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Singapore. They have supported Level 42, Beverley Knight, Raphael Saadiq and Ben l'Oncle Soul. After Hours is the third studio album by American neo-soul artist Rahsaan Patterson, released on October 26, 2004, under Artistry Music. The album is his first independent release on the record label. The album debuted at #65 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. In 2003, he released the song "The One for Me", which originally appeared on the 2002 Steve Harvey compilation album Sign of Things to Come: Steve's Pick of the Year. The singles, "April's Kiss", "So Hot" and "Forever Yours" received heavy rotation airplay on radio, but failed to chart on Billboards singles chart. Production for the album includes Patterson, Jamey Jaz, Van Hunt) and Steve "Silk" Hurley as his core writing and production team, along with members of his band, John "Jubu" Smith, Keith Crouch, background vocalists', Trina Broussard and RaRe Valverde.
Gabrielle Serene "Elle" Varner is an American singer. Born into a musical family in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Los Angeles, Varner studied at New York University's Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music. In October 2009, she signed with RCA Records along with a co-publishing agreement with Sony Music.
