Simon Matthew Katich is an Australian cricket coach and former cricketer. He captained New South Wales and also,until the end of the 2007 season,Derbyshire County Cricket Club. Katich also played for Lancashire,represented his birth state of Western Australia and played in Indian Premier League for Kings XI Punjab. Katich was also a member of the Australian team that won the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy.
Nathan Wade Bracken is a former Australian cricketer. A tall left-arm fast-medium bowler,Bracken is capable of swinging the ball both ways. He has represented Australia in all forms of the game. Bracken represented New South Wales in Australian domestic cricket,Eastern Suburbs in Sydney Grade Cricket and also appeared for English County team Gloucestershire in 2004. On 28 January 2011 he announced his retirement from the game due to a chronic knee injury. On 9 February 2012 it was reported that he sued Cricket Australia over the latter's alleged incompetency in managing his knee injury. With his time representing Australia,Bracken won multiple ICC titles with the team:the 2003 Cricket World Cup,the 2007 Cricket World Cup,and the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy.
Brian Charles Booth was an Australian cricketer who played in 29 Test matches between 1961 and 1966,and 93 first-class matches for New South Wales. He captained Australia in two Tests during the 1965–66 Ashes series while regular captain Bob Simpson was absent due to illness and injury. Booth was a graceful right-handed middle order batsman at No. 4 or 5,and occasionally bowled right arm medium pace or off spin. He had an inclination to use his feet to charge spin bowlers. Booth was known for his sportsmanship on the field and often invoked Christianity while discussing ethics and sport.
William Alfred Brown,was an Australian cricketer who played 22 Test matches between 1934 and 1948,captaining his country in one Test. A right-handed opening batsman,his partnership with Jack Fingleton in the 1930s is regarded as one of the finest in Australian Test history. After the interruption of World War II,Brown was a member of the team dubbed "The Invincibles",who toured England in 1948 without defeat under the leadership of Don Bradman. In a match in November 1947,Brown was the unwitting victim of the first instance of "Mankading".
Warren "Curly" Bardsley was an Australian Test cricketer. An opening batsman,Bardsley played 41 Tests between 1909 and 1926 and over 200 first-class games for New South Wales. He was Wisden's Cricketer of the Year in 1910.

Luke Ronchi is a New Zealand-Australian cricket coach and a former cricketer. He represented both the Australia national cricket team and New Zealand national cricket team in international cricket. Ronchi is the only player to have played for both Australia and New Zealand in cricketing history. He was also a part of the New Zealand squad to finish as runners-up at the 2015 Cricket World Cup. He played for Wellington in New Zealand domestic matches and has played Twenty20 matches for a range of sides. He retired from international cricket in June 2017.
Raymond Harvey was an Australian former first-class cricketer who played for Victoria in the 1940s and 1950s. He was the brother of Australian Test batsmen Merv and Neil and first-class cricketer and umpire Mick Harvey. Ray Harvey was an attacking and talented batsman but failed to reach international standards and only managed to hold down a regular position in the Victorian team in two seasons in the 1950s. This failure to match the standards set by his Test-capped brothers was often attributed to a lack of single-mindedness and hunger.

Patterson scored a century on his first-class cricket debut for New South Wales in November 2011,becoming the youngest batsman to score a century in Sheffield Shield cricket. In January 2019,he made his Test debut for Australia against Sri Lanka,becoming the 457th person to play test cricket for Australia. He made a century in just his second test match in Canberra,also against Sri Lanka. He was not selected for the 2019 Ashes series and returned to play domestically in the 2019/2020 season. He has the highest average of any Test batsman who has lost their wicket at least once.

Gill served as the vice-captain of the Indian Under-19 cricket team in the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and won Player of the Tournament award. A right-handed opening batsman,Gill holds the record for youngest cricketer to score a double century in One Day International cricket and the highest T20I score by an individual for the Indian team. He also holds the record for the fastest player to score 2000 runs in ODIs.
The 2020–21 Sheffield Shield season was the 119th season of the Sheffield Shield,the domestic first-class cricket competition in Australia. On 26 June 2020,Cricket Australia confirmed all the squads for the 2020–21 domestic cricket season. Cricket Australia also confirmed that the tournament would use the Kookaburra ball for all the matches,after using the Duke ball since the 2016–17 season. New South Wales were the defending champions.
