Domm: Until the Last Breath is an upcoming 2026 Bangladeshi survival drama film directed by Redoan Rony and written by Syed Ahmed Shawki. The film is based on true events, and the story centres on an ordinary man's resilience and mental strength. The film features Afran Nisho and Chanchal Chowdhury in their first big-screen collaboration and is produced jointly by SVF Entertainment, Alpha-i Studios and Chorki, with a theatrical release targeted for Eid-ul-Fitr 2026. The screenplay of the film are written by Syed Ahmed Shawki, Al Amin Hasan, Saifullah Riyad and Rabiul Alam. [4]
Domm is described by Rony as "the story of the power of a common man", depicting how an everyday individual finds extraordinary fortitude when confronted with life-threatening odds. [5] Further plot specifics remain under wraps as of mid-2025 to "preserve the emotional impact for cinema-goers."
The project was first unveiled on 9 December 2023, when Chorki, Alpha-i and SVF announced a two-film pact and presented Domm (then subtitled "Till the Last Breath") with Chanchal Chowdhury attached. [8] [9] [10]
Chanchal Chowdhury officially joined the film in December 2023. [11] By July 2025, the script was locked, and Afran Nisho joined the cast—clarifying that both Nisho and Chanchal would appear together. [11] [12] Puja Cherry officially joined the film at the mahurat ceremony on 29 October 2025 at the Gulshan Shooting Club in Dhaka. Location scouting and additional casting were underway, with filming expected to start in late 2025 to meet the Eid 2026 window. Filming began in Kazakhstan. [13]
In September 2025, the film's team traveled to Kazakhstan for shooting. [14] On 6 December 2025, the first phase of filming was completed in Kazakhstan, and the crew returned to Bangladesh. [15] [16]
The producers plan to premiere Domm theatrically during Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 (around April 2026). [17] [2]
Bangladeshi entertainment portals have highlighted the first-time pairing of Nisho and Chanchal as a major box-office draw, noting the actors' recent successes in Surongo and Daagi. [18]
