Dennis Coles, better known by his stage name Ghostface Killah, is an American rapper, songwriter and actor and lead member of the hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan. After the group achieved breakthrough success in the aftermath of Enter the Wu-Tang , the members went on to pursue solo careers to varying levels of success. Ghostface Killah debuted his solo career with Ironman, which was well received by music critics, in 1996. He has enjoyed continued success in the years that have followed, releasing critically acclaimed albums such as Supreme Clientele (2000) and Fishscale (2006). His stage name was taken from one of the characters in the 1979 kung fu film Mystery of Chessboxing. He is the founder of his own record label, Starks Enterprises.

Its title originates from the martial arts films Enter the Dragon (1973) and The 36th Chamber of Shaolin (1978).
Liquid Swords is the second solo studio album by American rapper and Wu-Tang Clan member GZA, released on November 7, 1995, by Geffen Records. Recording sessions for the album began midway through 1995 at producer RZA's basement studio in the New York City borough of Staten Island. The album heavily samples dialogue from the martial arts film Shogun Assassin and maintains a dark atmosphere throughout, incorporating lyrical references to chess, crime and philosophy. The song samples British singer Labi Siffre's 1975 track "I Got The..." as a bass and guitar riff by British pop rock duo Chas & Dave. "Fuck Wit Dre Day ", titled on the single as simply "Dre Day," is a hip-hop diss track by American artist and producer Dr. Dre, with a guest appearance from fellow rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg. It was the second single from Dre's debut solo album, The Chronic, released via Death Row Records. The song was released as a single on May 20, 1993.

Production was handled by Mike "Fresh" McCray, Professor Griff, and Swift, with Luther Campbell serving as executive producer.
Jeffrey Thompkins, known by his stage name JT Money, is an American rapper and the leader of Miami-based hip hop group Poison Clan. Thompkins began his career in the late 1980s as a protégé of Luther "Luke" Campbell–signing to Luke Records in 1990. His debut solo album Pimpin' on Wax was released in 1999 and spawned the successful single "Who Dat", which peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"Cop That Shit", also known in its censored form as "Cop That Disc", is the lead single taken from hip-hop duo Timbaland & Magoo's third studio album, Under Construction, Part II. The track features vocals from Missy Elliott. The single was released on September 29, 2003 in Europe, but was not released in the United Kingdom until March 8, 2004. The hip hop track itself refers to people downloading and burning music instead of buying it. All of the tracks' verses are resung verses from classic rap songs, however some of the lyrics are changed. Timbaland's verse is a rewrite of "I Know You Got Soul" by Eric B. & Rakim, Missy's verse is a rewrite of Paper Thin by MC Lyte, and Magoo's verse is a rewrite of "I Got It Made" by Special Ed.
"Ruffneck" is a hip hop song recorded by American rapper MC Lyte. It was published on May 27, 1993 as the lead single from her fourth studio album, Ain't No Other (1993). The song was produced by Wreckx-n-Effect member Aqil Davidson with Walter "Mucho" Scott, who along with Lyte have songwriting credits.

Dance All Night is the second single released by the Southern Hip Hop group Poison Clan in 1990 for their debut album 2 Low Life Muthas. The song is one of the group's most successful singles peaking at #14 on the Hot Rap Singles chart and #51 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Singles & Tracks chart. The song is fast paced and features the signature Miami Bass sound that was pioneered by Poison Clan's labelmates The 2 Live Crew. This song also has the distinction of being the only Poison Clan single that was not edited for content due to being the only truly clean song Poison Clan would ever record as there are no profanities anywhere in the entire song. The opening riff from Isaac Hayes' iconic Theme from Shaft is sampled very prominently throughout the entire song.
"A No No" is a song by American singer and songwriter Mariah Carey from her fifteenth studio album, Caution (2018). The song was written by Carey, Robert "Shea" Taylor, Priscilla Hamilton, Mason Betha and Camron Giles. Since the track samples Lil' Kim's "Crush on You" (1997), songwriting credits were added for a total of nine. Digitally released as a promotional single in November 2018, Epic Records serviced it to rhythmic contemporary and urban contemporary radio as the second single from the album on March 4, 2019. "A No No" is a hip hop and R&B song with a blithely dismissive chorus and frisky beat.
Tamia Monique Carter, known professionally as Flo Milli, is an American rapper. Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, she began making and releasing music in 2015. After her singles "Beef FloMix" and "In The Party" went viral on the social media platform TikTok, she signed a recording deal with RCA Records. Flo Milli released her debut mixtape, Ho, Why Is You Here?, on July 24, 2020, to critical acclaim. She was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards.
