Dore Numa College is a government-owned secondary school in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. [1] [2] [3] It is a day school named after Chief Dore Numa. [4] It was established in October 1980 to provide secondary education for children and its motto is "Hardwork Is Success".
In June 2013, during the administration of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, Dore Numa College was one of the schools inspected by the Delta State Governor, who decried vandalisation of government projects in the newly constructed schools. [5]
In December 2021, it was reported that there was a cult clash between some Dore Numa College students and other students who came from different schools in the area. [6] A female student of Dore Numa College named Sharon Taiwo was also a victim of human trafficking and was assisted financially by the Delta State Governor's wife, Mrs. Dame Edith Okowa. He was also a Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State in 2009. In 2005, he won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12th Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2016. In 2024, he was honoured with the Industry Merit Awards, alongside Iya Rainbow at the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards.

Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan is a retired Nigerian politician and doctor who served as Governor of Delta State from 2007 to 2015. He assumed office via an inconclusive election on 29 May 2007 and was a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He was reelected in 2011.

Olori Atuwatse III, is the Queen of the Warri Kingdom, a lawyer, social entrepreneur and wife of Ogiame Atuwatse III, current ruler of the Kingdom of Warri, and the 21st Olu of Warri. She is also the daughter of Nigerian billionaire business magnate, investor and philanthropist Captain Hosa Wells Okunbo. After his coronation in August 2021, the Olu of Warri bestowed a new title on his wife, calling her Olori Atuwatse III, now her official title.
The 2023 Nigerian Senate elections in Delta State will be held on 25 February 2023, to elect the 3 federal Senators from Delta State, one from each of the state's three senatorial districts. The elections will coincide with the 2023 presidential election, as well as other elections to the Senate and elections to the House of Representatives; with state elections being held two weeks later. Primaries were held between 4 April and 9 June 2022.
