Doris Pole (born 4 June 1998) is a Croatian taekwondo practitioner.
She won a bronze medal in heavyweight at the 2019 World Taekwondo Championships, after being defeated by Zheng Shuyin in the semifinal. [1]
Doris Day was an American actress, singer, and activist. She began her career as a big band singer in 1939, achieving commercial success in 1945 with two No. 1 recordings, "Sentimental Journey" and "My Dreams Are Getting Better All the Time" with Les Brown & His Band of Renown. She left Brown to embark on a solo career and recorded more than 650 songs from 1947 to 1967.
Taekwondo, Tae Kwon Do or Taekwon-Do is a Korean form of martial arts characterized by punching and kicking techniques, with emphasis on head-height kicks, spinning jump kicks, and fast kicking techniques. The literal translation for tae kwon do is "kicking", "punching", and "the art or way of". They are a kind of martial arts in which one attacks or defends with hands and feet anytime or anywhere, with occasional use of weapons. The physical training undertaken in Taekwondo is purposeful and fosters strength of mind through mental armament.
World Taekwondo, called the World Taekwondo Federation until June 2017, is an international federation governing the sport of taekwondo and is a member of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF).
The event of Taekwondo competitions at the 2008 Summer Olympics is held in Beijing. It was on the duration of August 20 to August 23 at the Beijing Science and Technology University Gymnasium. The event consists of various athletes, who are 128 Taekwondo practitioners, consisting 64 men and 64 women. These athletes competed in 8 events, where for the first time ever, two bronze medals were awarded per event.

Bianca Cook, also known as Bianca Walkden is a British taekwondo athlete and Olympian. She is a three-time World champion, twice World Grand Prix champion, four-time European champion and a double Olympic medallist.
Hedaya Malak Wahba is an Egyptian taekwondo practitioner. She participated in the 2012, the 2016 Olympics and won a bronze medal in 2016, and the 2020 Olympics winning Egypt the gold medal in the tournament.
Doris Esmid Patiño Marín is a Colombian taekwondo practitioner. She won a silver medal for the 57 kg class at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, losing out to Mexico's Irma Contreras. She later followed that up with a bronze medal four years later at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada.
Veronica Calabrese is an Italian taekwondo practitioner. She won two bronze medals for the 57 and 59 kg classes at the European Taekwondo Championships. She also captured a silver medal in the same division at the 2009 World Taekwondo Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark, losing out to China's Hou Yuzhuo. Calabrese is a member of the taekwondo team for Centro Sportivo Esercito, and is coached and trained by Yoon Soon-Cheul. She is engaged to two-time Olympic medalist Mauro Sarmiento.
Taekwondo at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo featured 128 taekwondo fighters competing in eight weight categories; four for men, and four for women. The 2020 Olympics were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
