Dorrian Commons Park was a park and part of the Franklin County Government Center in downtown Columbus, Ohio, United States. The park opened in 1976 on the site of the first and second Franklin County Courthouse, built in 1887. Dorrian Commons closed in 2018, pending construction of a new courthouse.

The park has a metal sculpture by an unknown artist. [3] A large cast of Henry Moore's Oval with Points was originally installed in Dorrian Commons Park. [4] The sculpture was moved across High Street in 2014 to the plaza of the newly remodeled Hall of Justice of the Franklin County Government Center. [5] [2]
The park is scheduled to be demolished and replaced by a county municipal courthouse. The adjacent James A. Karnes Building is to be repurposed or demolished as well. The park fountain was turned off in August 2018. The underutilized park was closed off in December 2018. It had also been scheduled to be demolished in 2003, to be replaced with the common pleas courthouse, a project moved and built north of the government center complex. [2]
Polaris Fashion Place is a two level shopping mall and surrounding retail plaza serving Columbus, Ohio, United States. The mall, owned locally by Washington Prime Group, is located off Interstate 71 on Polaris Parkway in Delaware County just to the north of the boundary between Delaware and Franklin County. The mall features five anchor stores, Saks Fifth Avenue, Von Maur, Macy's, JCPenney, and a combination of Dick's Sporting Goods/Public Lands, as well as an outdoor promenade which includes Forever 21, Dave & Buster's, and Barnes & Noble.
Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is a botanical garden and conservatory located in Columbus, Ohio. It is open daily and an admission fee is charged. Today, it is a horticultural and educational institution showcasing exotic plant collections, special exhibitions, and Dale Chihuly artworks.
Franklinton is a neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio, just west of its downtown. Settled in 1797, Franklinton is the first American settlement in Franklin County, and was the county seat until 1824. As the city of Columbus grew, the city annexed and incorporated the existing settlement in 1859. Franklinton is bordered by the Scioto River on the north and east, Harmon Avenue on the east, Stimmel Road and Greenlawn Avenue on the south, and Interstate 70 on the west. Its main thoroughfare is West Broad Street, one of the city's two main roads.

Northland Mall was a shopping mall located on the north side of Columbus, Ohio, at the intersection of Morse Road and Karl Road. It opened in 1964 as an open-air shopping center. Northland was the first of the four directionally-named shopping hubs in Columbus, along with Eastland, Westland, and Southland. Though popular through the 1990s, three new shopping centers were completed in the late 1990s and early 2000s that took businesses and shoppers away from Northland. It closed in 2002 and was demolished in 2004. The site has subsequently been redeveloped as Northland Village, a multi-use complex containing government offices, retail stores and the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center.

Oval with Points is a series of enigmatic abstract sculptures by British sculptor Henry Moore, made in plaster and bronze from 1968 to 1970, from a 14-centimetre (5.5 in) maquette in 1968 made in plaster and then cast in bronze, through a 110-centimetre (43 in) working model in 1968–1969 also made plaster and then cast in bronze, to a full-size 332-centimetre (131 in) bronze version cast in 1969.

The 1887 courthouse deteriorated over several decades, and the site was eventually replaced with Dorrian Commons Park, open from 1976 to 2018; the court moved to a new building nearby. As of 2020, the site is planned to once again hold the county's Municipal Court building.

The Columbus City Prison was a municipal prison in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building was constructed in 1879 in a castle-like style, designed by architect George H. Maetzel. The building served as a prison and headquarters of the Columbus Police Department until a fire demolished the structure in 1920.
The Franklin County Jail was a county jail building in Columbus, Ohio, administered by the Franklin County government. The building opened in 1889 and was in use until August 1971. At that time, the jail was moved to a new facility, part of the Franklin County Government Center. The 1889 structure was demolished two months later.
