Double Dragon is a Hip-Hop/R&B music production duo consisting of siblings Roy Chong and Elmo Chong also known as the "Funk Seoul Brothers".

Hailing from Vancouver, Canada Double Dragon began producing music for several local artists in 2001. Not until 2005 did they finally catch a break producing music for #1 selling Canadian Hip-Hop group Swollen Members. The album Black Magic was a triumphant success winning a Juno Award for Rap Recording of the Year 2007. [1] The Double Dragon produced & co-written song "Brothers" went on to be featured in the major motion picture "In the Mix" starring platinum R&B singer Usher Raymond. [2]
Swollen Members is a Canadian hip hop group from Vancouver, British Columbia, consisting mainly of Madchild and Prevail. Frequent collaborators include vocalist Moka Only along with the other former members Easy Roc & Zodak who were only in the group for a few years and producer Rob the Viking, an official group member since 2002. Swollen Members has released nine studio albums, one greatest hits album and 2 compilations, as well as numerous other singles.
Black Magic is an album by Swollen Members, a Canadian hip hop group. It is their fourth full-length release, not including Monsters in the Closet, their B-sides compilation. This album features guest vocals, including former group member Moka Only on two tracks. The album peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Independent Albums chart.
The Juno Awards are presented annually to Canadian musical artists and bands to acknowledge their artistic and technical achievements in all aspects of music. New members of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame are also inducted as part of the awards ceremonies.
During 2005 Double Dragon also solidified a relationship with #1 selling Korean Hip Hop group Drunken Tiger. This project signified big changes for the rapping duo as the exit of member DJ Shine, left remaining member Tiger JK to carry on the Drunken tradition. The new album "1945 Liberation" went on to be a great success for Tiger JK and the whole Drunken movement. Drunken Tiger was a Korean hip hop group that debuted in 1999 and has since released several albums and won numerous awards. They are known as pioneers of Korean hip-hop who helped bring the genre into the mainstream.
DJ Shine is a Korean Rapper, Producer, DJ formerly associated with popular Korean Hip hop group, Drunken Tiger.
Tiger JK is a South Korean-American rapper, record producer and entrepreneur best known as a founding member of Korean hip hop group Drunken Tiger. He has also founded two record labels, Jungle Entertainment and Feel Ghood Music. He is currently a member of hip hop trio MFBTY.
In late 2005 Double Dragon found themselves in collaboration with critically acclaimed Gospel/Christian hip hop artist Da' T.R.U.T.H. Part of a Gospel Hip-Hop collective called Cross Movement, Da' T.R.U.T.H is known for his powerful lyrics, energetic music and unfailing faith. His second album entitled The Faith marked Da' T.R.U.T.H's arrival at centre stage, poised to speak to those who were ready to listen. Double Dragon produced song "Incredible Christian" became the lead single for the album, which debuted at #7 on Billboard Gospel charts. [4] Double Dragon also produced "2 is Better", which lent an R&B feel to the album. The Faith went on to win a Stellar Award for Best Gospel Hip-Hop album of 2006. [5]
Gospel music is a genre of Christian music. The creation, performance, significance, and even the definition of gospel music varies according to culture and social context. Gospel music is composed and performed for many purposes, including aesthetic pleasure, religious or ceremonial purposes, and as an entertainment product for the marketplace. Gospel music usually has dominant vocals with Christian lyrics. Gospel music can be traced to the early 17th century, with roots in the black oral tradition. Hymns and sacred songs were often repeated in a call and response fashion. Most of the churches relied on hand clapping and foot stomping as rhythmic accompaniment. Most of the singing was done a cappella. The first published use of the term "gospel song" probably appeared in 1874. The original gospel songs were written and composed by authors such as George F. Root, Philip Bliss, Charles H. Gabriel, William Howard Doane, and Fanny Crosby. Gospel music publishing houses emerged. The advent of radio in the 1920s greatly increased the audience for gospel music. Following World War II, gospel music moved into major auditoriums, and gospel music concerts became quite elaborate.
Christian hip hop is a subgenre of hip hop music characterized by a Christian worldview, with the general purposes of evangelization, edifying some members of the church and/or simply entertaining. Still focused on projects in Korea Double Dragon began work with Yang Dong-geun (YDG) in 2006. YDG is an accomplished A-List actor, starring in major Korean motion pictures and many Korean TV dramas. [6] Double Dragon produced 4 songs for his 3rd album. "W.I.D.G.Y", "Run", "When I Was a Teenager", and "Neighborhood". Coming off the success of his movie career the album was well received.
Yang Dong-geun or YDG is a South Korean actor, rapper, singer-songwriter, record producer and breakdancer. Yang majored in Theatrical Performance at Yong-in University
At the same time Double Dragon was producing a song for Korean R&B crooner Bobby Kim. The Double Dragon song "For the Moment" was produced for a popular Korean TV series called Breaks also featured in the show's soundtrack. [7]
Kim Do-kyun, more commonly known as Bobby Kim, is a South Korean hip hop and R&B artist.
2007 gave way to a new project for Double Dragon with Korean Pop/Hip-Hip/R&B artist Yun Mi Rae (Tasha Reid, or T) formerly of Tashannie. Her long-awaited album came only after a drawn out battle with her former record label. Double Dragon produced song "Pay Day" was a standout Hip-Hop anthem, that Korean audiences responded to immediately.
Now based in New York City, Double Dragon is setting up to work with more US major label artists. 2007 will continue to showcase Double Dragon's work with artists such as Swollen Members, YDG and Drunken Tiger.

Brandon Jermaine Yun, better known by his stage name EXP, formerly EX-PLICIT LINEZ, is an American rapper and former radio personality for New York Korean radio NYKR 1660 AM, a mutual protégé of Drunken Tiger and Lee Hyun Do a.k.a. D.O. EXP first appeared on the underground rap scene in The Bronx in the mid 1990s on a DJ Platinum's mixtape series, Hate in Da Blood. He is one of the first generation of Asian American rappers to be involved in the Hip-Hop scene along with Jamez, John "shogunna" Chee and Mountain Brothers. He is also known as one of the first Korean rappers to mix Korean and English words to rhyme in the song. He is of Korean descent.
Leessang (Korean: 리쌍) was a South Korean hip hop duo, composed of Kang Hee-gun and Gil Seong-joon ("Gil"). MFBTY, an acronym that stands for "My Fans [Are] Better Than Yours," is a Korean hip-hop group under Feel Ghood Music consisting of Tiger JK, Yoon Mi-rae, and Bizzy. They debuted in 2013 with the single, "Sweet Dream." MFBTY was meant to be only a temporary name, and the trio released an album later that year as Drunken Tiger, Tiger JK's legendary hip hop group. However, they later returned to the name MFBTY and released their first full-length album under that name in 2015.
Park Jun-young, better known as Bizzy, is a South Korea-based rapper and member of the hip-hop trio MFBTY. He is an affiliate of YDG's, Yucka Squad, and also the hip-hop crew, The Movement. He became more known when he started performing alongside Drunken Tiger member Tiger JK and later featured on Drunken Tiger's 6th album.
Song Won-geun is a South Korean singer and actor. Song made his entertainment debut in 2000 as a member of the hip-hop boyband OPPA, singing in the group's second album Reincarnation. He then launched his career as a solo artist under the stage name RUN (Korean: 런), releasing one album and two singles in 2008 to 2009. Song also began acting in 2010, and has since starred in several stage musicals and television dramas, notably Thrill Me and Princess Aurora.
