Douglas Area Rural Transit is a public transportation operator in Douglas County. Douglas Area Rural Transit operates in the rural communities of Minden, Gardnerville and the Gardnerville Ranchos. It offers both dial-a-ride and fix route transit service known as DART Express [6]
Douglas Area Rural Transit was incorporated in 2001 using Nevada's DOT public rural ride program [7] as a way to bridge the transit gap in Carson Valley and Stateline. [8] At launch, the system was averaging 40 passengers per day [9]
In 2007, Gardnerville residents were protesting the transit operator for causing traffic in residential streets near the senior center [10]

Interstate 580 (I-580) is a 35.019-mile (56.358 km) auxiliary Interstate Highway in Western Nevada. It runs concurrently with US Route 395 (US 395) from an intersection with US 50 near the southern boundary of Carson City to the Reno Spaghetti Bowl interchange with I-80 in Reno. The freeway provides a high-speed direct route between Lake Tahoe and Carson City to Reno and I-80.
Fairfax Connector is a public bus service provided by Fairfax County, Virginia, United States, and is managed by the county government. Fresno Area Express (FAX), is a public transportation operator in Fresno, California. The system has over 100 buses, 1,606 bus stops, and 18 routes as of August 2022. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 7,707,600, or about 29,200 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2023. FAX fixed routes run as far south as Malaga to Valley Children's Hospital in the north. Lines also run as far east as Fowler Avenue in Clovis, and as far west as Hayes Avenue near Highway 99 in western Fresno.

The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County (RTC) is the public body responsible for the transportation needs throughout Reno, Sparks and Washoe County, Nevada. The COMET, officially the Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (CMRTA), is a regional transportation authority formed by Richland County, City of Columbia, and Lexington County on April 24, 2000, by the Central Midlands Council of Governments. The COMET consists of an intergovernmental agreement signed by Richland County, the City of Columbia, the City of Forest Acres, and Lexington County to fund, operate and maintain public transit services and mass transportation in Richland and Lexington counties in the Columbia metropolitan area of South Carolina.
