"Downing Street Kindling" was the second single to be taken from Larrikin Love's debut album, The Freedom Spark , and their first release to enter the UK Top 40, charting at number 35.

Contents

In the song, Larrikin voices his discontent with England, culminating with the proclamation that "I think that it is hell". The title refers to the home of the British Prime Minister, and references one of the song's key lyrics, "I will build a fire in Westminster using the door of Downing Street "

Men at Work Australian rock band

Men at Work are an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 1979 and best known for hits such as "Who Can It Be Now?" and "Down Under". Its founding member was Colin Hay on lead vocals and guitar. After playing as an acoustic duo with Ron Strykert during 1978–79, he formed the group with Strykert playing bass guitar, and Jerry Speiser on drums. They were soon joined by Greg Ham on flute, saxophone, and keyboards and John Rees on bass guitar, with Strykert then switching to lead guitar. The group was managed by Russell Depeller, a friend of Hay, whom he met at Latrobe University. This line-up achieved national and international success in the early 1980s. In January 1983, they were the first Australian artists to have a simultaneous No. 1 album and No. 1 single on the United States Billboard charts: Business as Usual and "Down Under" (1981), respectively. With the same works, they achieved the distinction of a simultaneous No. 1 album and No. 1 single on the Australian, New Zealand, and United Kingdom charts. Their second album Cargo was also No. 1 in Australia, No. 2 in New Zealand, No. 3 in the US, and No. 8 in the UK. Their third album Two Hearts reached the top 20 in Australia and top 50 in the US.

"Down Under" is a song recorded by Australian rock band Men at Work. It was originally released in 1980 as the B-side to their first local single titled "Keypunch Operator", released before the band signed with Columbia Records. Both early songs were written by the group's co-founders, Colin Hay and Ron Strykert. The early version of "Down Under" has a slightly different tempo and arrangement from the later Columbia release. The most well known version was then released on Columbia in 1981 as the third single from their debut album Business as Usual (1981).

Panic Prevention is the Mercury Prize nominated debut album by English indie rock singer-songwriter Jamie T, released in the United Kingdom on 29 January 2007. The album is so-called because of the panic attacks Jamie suffered as an adolescent.
