Gerald DeLoach Jr. (born February 19, 1989), better known by his stage name Drastik, is an American Hip-Hop artist from Austin, Texas.
Drastik was born in Mamou, Louisiana and spent most of his childhood in Oakdale and New Orleans with his family. At an early age he moved to the Southwest side of Houston, Texas. Growing up with a father who operated a recording studio and was a part of rap group himself, Drastik took to music at a young age. At the age of 11 he wrote his first song and subsequently began the rap group DSD with two friends, DICE and J. Maine. The group recorded an album and performed together for 4 years but after contractual issues and a shelved album the group disbanded.
While attending B.F. Terry High School, Drastik met David R. “DC” Canales and his brother Mike Canales and began Home Team Records. Home Team consisted of various locally talented artists who collaborated to release a number of mixtapes and eventually formed a 5-member group under the name Deuce 81 G.A.G.E. Deuce 81 G.A.G.E. released an LP and DVD titled “G.A.G.E.” along with a volume of mixtapes entitled “Get This Paper”. [1] The group collectively decided to part ways and Drastik went on to release a project titled “Birth of Modern Military Thought” with former group member DICE, who he reconnected with while in college at U of H.
After the release of the mixtape, Drastik went on to release one track every day in the month of May 2009 totaling 31 tracks, which was promoted as the “Daily Downloads”. The Daily Downloads along with highlight videos of his performances landed him many opening spots in Austin with artists such as Trey Songz, Dorrough, Del The Funky Homosapien, Wiz Khalifa, and Curren$y. With his newfound success in the Austin market, Drastik moved to Austin shortly before his Texas tour with J. Cole in January 2010.
In January 2010 Drastik toured with J. Cole on The J. Cole Texas Tour. [3] During the spring of 2010, he toured with Curren$y, Pac Div and XV on The LRG Home Grown Tour. [4] In the fall of 2010, he toured with Big Sean, Mickey Factz, and FreeSol on select dates of the What U Doin College tour. [5]
During the spring of 2010, Drastik and fellow Austin Hip-Hop artist Kevin Jack, released "Circus Mirrors", a 7-track EP featuring production from Big Gigantic and Ratatat. [6] In December 2010, Drastik was named 1 of 5 Austin Hip-Hop artists to watch in 2011 by the Austin Examiner. In January 2011 Drastik released his debut solo EP, titled "Something to Say" exclusively produced by long-time collaborator, 2wentyWon. Since its release,"Something to Say" has received positive and rave reviews from many media publications which has further propelled him to the forefront of the Texas music scene. [7]
Drastik is the older of two boys born to Kathy Green and Gerald DeLoach Sr. He has one brother, Katlyn DeLoach, and sister, Jordan DeLoach out of his father's second marriage. [8]
Alan Daniel Maman, professionally known as The Alchemist, is an American hip hop producer, DJ, and rapper. He began his music career in 1991 in the hip hop duo the Whooliganz under the moniker Mudfoot, along with now-actor Scott Caan. He has produced music since the 1990s.

Olubowale Victor Akintimehin, better known by his stage name Wale, is an American rapper. He first became known for his 2006 song "Dig Dug ", which became popular in his hometown of Washington D.C. and led Wale to gain further local recognition as he amassed a number of follow-up releases. Wale signed with English DJ-producer Mark Ronson's Allido Records in 2007, and after a three-label bidding war, he entered a joint venture with Interscope Records for US$1.3 million the following year. During this time, Wale's mixtapes and singles saw national attention as he appeared on MTV and various Black America-focused magazines.

Friday Night Lights is the third official mixtape from Fayetteville, North Carolina rapper J. Cole. It was released on November 12, 2010. The mixtape was to originally be called Villematic and contain J. Cole's previous leaks and freestyles, however, Cole later stated it would have original material. The mixtape became the second most searched and trending topics on Google and Twitter respectively following its release. Most songs on the mixtape were slated to be on his debut album at one point or another. The mixtape has been viewed over 4,470,000 times, streamed over 1,280,000 times, and downloaded over 1,700,000 times on mixtape site DatPiff. On June 26, 2013, Cole announced that he would be re-releasing The Warm Up and Friday Night Lights for retail sale, in order to "give them the push they deserved".
Rolling Papers is the third studio album by American rapper Wiz Khalifa. It was released on March 29, 2011, by Atlantic Records and Rostrum Records. It is his first album under a major label after his independent releases, Show and Prove and Deal or No Deal. The album features guest appearances from Too $hort, Curren$y and Chevy Woods. Rolling Papers was supported by five singles: "Black and Yellow", "Roll Up", "On My Level", "No Sleep" and "The Race". The album has been noted by music writers for having a pop rap style.

He formed the musical collective Spillage Village with EarthGang in 2010, and later formed the hip hop group, Zoink Gang with Smino, Buddy, and Guapdad 4000. His fluent rapping style and usage of wordplay has been highly acclaimed by several music critics.
