Dresser Winn (born November 11, 1998) is an American football quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He has also been a member of the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football for the UT Martin Skyhawks.
Winn grew up in Dresden, Tennessee and attended Dresden High School. [1] During high school, he completed 137 out of 191 passing attempts for 2,630 yards with 38 touchdowns and eight interceptions while rushing for 739 yards and six scores on 82 carries. [2] He was rated a two-star recruit and originally committed to play college football at Western Michigan but instead committed to play college football at UT Martin. [3]
Winn started five games during his true freshman season in 2017 with the UT-Martin Skyhawks and passed for 744 passing yards, five touchdowns and one interception. [4] During the 2018 season, he played in and started seven games before suffering an injury that would have him sit out for the rest of the season. He finished the season with completing 154 out of 234 passing attempts for 1,601 yards, 12 passing touchdowns and nine interceptions. [5] During the 2019 season, he played in two games and was redshirted. He finished the season with completing five out of nine passing attempts for 59 yards. [5] During the 2020 season, he played in four games at quarterback and the team's primary punter before suffering through a season-ending injury. He finished the season with completing six out of 11 passing attempts for 30 yards. [5] During the 2021 season, he played in three games and finished the season with completing 45 out of 91 passing attempts for 438 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. [6] During the 2022 season, he played in and started all 11 games at quarterback and finished the season with completing 232 of 379 pass attempts for 2,928 yards, 18 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Winn was signed by the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2023. [9] He was waived on August 29, 2023. [10]
On September 30, 2023, it was announced that Winn had signed with the Edmonton Elks. [11] He spent time on the team's practice roster and was released before dressing in a game on October 17, 2023. [12]
On November 1, 2023, Winn was signed to the Rams practice squad. [13] He was released on November 7. [14] He was re-signed to the practice squad on January 2, 2024. [15] He signed a reserve/future contract on January 15, 2024. [16]
After the NCAA began allowing student-athletes to be compensated for the use of their Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) in 2021, Winn became the first collegiate athlete to endorse a political candidate when he endorsed Colin Johnson, a family friend, in the election for District Attorney of Tennessee's 27th Judicial District. Kevin Glenn, Jr. is a former American professional Canadian football quarterback. He was originally signed by the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2001. He played college football for the Illinois State Redbirds and high school football at Detroit St. Martin de Porres. Glenn is a journeyman quarterback who is the only player to ever have had his rights held by every team in the CFL.
Jarious K. Jackson is an American professional football coach and former player who is the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He has also been a coach for the Toronto Argonauts, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and BC Lions. Jackson played professionally as a quarterback in the CFL for eight seasons with the Lions and one year with the Argonauts where he won three Grey Cup championships in 2006, 2011, and 2012. He has also been a member of the Denver Broncos (NFL), to whom he was drafted 214th overall in the 2000 NFL Draft, and the Barcelona Dragons. Jackson played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Michael Reilly is an American former football quarterback player who played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for 11 seasons. He was the starting quarterback for the Edmonton Eskimos when they won the 103rd Grey Cup and was named the Grey Cup Most Valuable Player. He was originally signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He played college football for the Central Washington Wildcats. He was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Player in 2017. Reilly has also been a member of the BC Lions of the CFL and the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Rams and Seattle Seahawks.
Trevor Harris is an American professional Canadian football quarterback for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2010. Harris has also played in the Arena Football League (AFL) and United Football League (UFL). He played college football at Edinboro University.
