Droeloe (stylized as DROELOE) is an electronic music project formed by Dutch musician Vincent Rooijers in 2016. Hein Hamers was also part of the project until his departure in 2020.
Vincent Rooijers and Hein Hamers met at the Utrecht School of Arts around 2014. Rooijers was studying music and composition, while Hamers was studying visual arts. [1] They worked on art projects at school and made music in their spare time. The project began as a joke; Hein said that "we were just joking around. That kind of got really serious really quickly so..." Rooijers explained that the name "Droeloe" is also a joke, and that "It kind of means being drunk or uplifted in a way, but it also means actually shit so the best way to translate it would be to be shitfaced I guess". [2] Their inspirations include Hybris, Culprate, Clark, Camo and Krooked, Noisia, Still Woozy, Anderson .Paak, Sufjan Stevens, Bibio and Avishai Cohen. [3]
In May 2017, they collaborated with San Holo for the song "Lines of the Broken". [4] The next month, they released "Jump" featuring Nevve, [5] which was then used in August in an advertisement for the Apple Watch. [6] In 2019, they started their tour The Choices We Face, in support of their EP of same name. [7] [8]
On October 21, 2020, Hamers announced his departure from the project. [9] [10] [11] A month later, an anthology album, A Matter of Perspective, was released. [12]
On May 19, 2023, a new single, "Feeble Games", was released, followed by the announcement of an American tour. [13] On June 17 Droeloe announced album The Art of Change , with "Feeble Games" being its first single. It was followed by the release of a new single, "Landscape", featuring Banji. [14] It was followed by a live video on June 30. [15] On July 4, a third single was released, "Decision", [16] followed by the fourth single, "Downside Up", featuring Transviolet on August 11. [17] A fifth single, "Foolish Fish", was released on September 8. The album was released on the 15th. [18]
Justin David Blau, better known by his stage name 3LAU, is an American DJ and electronic dance music producer. Raised in New York and Las Vegas, 3LAU left Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied finance. He has produced original tracks including "How You Love Me", "Is It Love", "Fire", "On My Mind", and "Hot Water", as well as remixes for Rihanna, Katy Perry, Shawn Mendes, and Ariana Grande and collaborations with gamer Ninja and HYO of Girls' Generation. 3LAU has also appeared at festivals such as Electric Zoo, EDC Vegas, Lollapalooza, and Life Is Beautiful, and tours extensively internationally.
Niles Hollowell-Dhar, known professionally as Kshmr, is an American musician, songwriter, DJ, record producer, former rapper, and singer. He was ranked 23rd on DJ Mag's 2015 Top 100 DJs poll and was awarded highest new entry for the year. In the same poll he elevated to 12th in 2016 and 2017, and again in 2020. He was ranked 11th in the same poll in 2021; and in 2022 in same poll he ranked 12. In July 2017, he launched Dharma Worldwide, a sublabel of Spinnin' Records. Kshmr performed live at many music festivals like Coachella, Tomorrowland, EDC, Ultra and Sunburn.
Sander van Dijck, better known by his stage name San Holo, is a Dutch DJ, musician, and record producer from Zoetermeer. He gained international recognition for his remix of Dr. Dre's "The Next Episode", which currently has over 262 million views on YouTube. He has released music on several record labels including Spinnin' Records, Owsla, Barong Family, and Monstercat. He also founded Bitbird, a label which has released several of his singles including "Still Looking" and "Light" and his debut album Album1. San Holo's first EP, Cosmos, was released via Heroic on 18 September 2014 and was in the Top 100 Electronic category of iTunes. San Holo's first album, Album1, was released via Bitbird on 21 September 2018 and debuted at #7 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
Nicholas D. Miller, professionally known as Illenium, is an American musician, DJ, music producer, and songwriter. He has released five studio albums, his most recent being Illenium, released in April 2023. Illenium earned his first Grammy nomination following the release of his fourth studio album, Fallen Embers, released in July 2021. One of Illenium's more notable albums, Ascend, was released in August 2019 on Astralwerks. The album was Illenium's first to top the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart and also reached his highest peak on the Billboard 200 at number 14.
Tim Heng Wu, better known by his stage name Elephante, is an American musician, DJ and music producer based in Los Angeles.
Isabelle Rezazadeh, known by her stage name Rezz, is a Canadian DJ and record producer from Niagara Falls, Ontario. She released her debut EP, Insurrection in 2015 through OWSLA's sub-label Nest HQ. In 2016, she signed with record label mau5trap, and released follow-ups The Silence is Deafening and Something Wrong Here. On August 4, 2017, Rezazadeh released her debut studio album, Mass Manipulation, with its follow up, Certain Kind of Magic, released in 2018.

The label is jointly run by Sander van Dijck's manager Budi Voogt and his longtime friend and associate Thorwald van den Akker, who is also the label's creative director and co-founder.

Starting his music career in 2013, he released multiple songs independently and through labels such as Monstercat, Foreign Family Collective and bitbird. He also released a couple songs on NoCopyrightSounds, those being "Steps", and "Horizon".

Adam Puleo, better known by his alias Wooli, is an American briddim, riddim and dubstep DJ and producer. He is known for the songs "Island" and "Another Me", with the prior being a collaboration with American dubstep producers Seven Lions and Trivecta and the latter being a collaboration with Seven Lions and Canadian producer and DJ Excision. "Island" peaked at the No. 20 position on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart in early 2019. "Another Me" peaked on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs at the No. 46 position in late 2019.
Jesse Kardon, better known by his alias Subtronics, is an American dubstep DJ and producer from Philadelphia, United States. He is best known for his song "Griztronics", a collaboration with Michigan-based electronic music artist GRiZ that peaked on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs at the No. 9 position in late 2019. Kardon peaked at No. 10 on Billboard's Next Big Sound chart in September 2019. Kardon is married to fellow producer and Dubstep DJ Sonya Broner also known by her alias Level Up.

"I Still See Your Face" is a single by Dutch music producer San Holo which was released on Bitbird, his own label, on September 12, 2017. Holo wrote and recorded the song in 2016. "I Still See Your Face" was included on the album Gouldian Finch 2, released on October 5, 2017, and its remixes were released on October 31 of that year. Holo has performed live and acoustic versions of the song, which received generally-positive reviews and reached number 29 on the Dutch Single Tip chart.
