The Dubai Pharmacy College for Girls (DPCG) is the FIRST pharmacy Higher Education institution in the United Arab Emirates, established in 1992 by Dubai philanthropist Haji Saeed Bin Ahmed Al Lootah. In 2005, it won the Dubai Quality Appreciation Programme award for education presented by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. [1] The Dubai Pharmacy College offers Bachelor of Pharmacy,B.Pharm and Masters in Pharmacy, M.Pharm program in Clinical Pharmacy. DPCG was founded with a vision to educate girls of the Emirate to successfully and confidently meet the dynamic challenges in the healthcare in an Islamic ambience. Endowed with the Dubai Appreciation Award in 2004. The B.Pharm and M.Pharm (Clinical Pharmacy curriculum is Accredited and licensed by the Ministry of Education-CAA" of UAE since 1998 for the B.Pharm program and Accreditation since October 2013 for the Masters of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) program specializing in Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Product Development. The Bachelor of Pharmacy degree program (B.Pharm) of Dubai Pharmacy College for Girls (DPCG) has been granted Certification (Category 1 and 2) by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), from USA. (Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education), 190 South LaSalle Street, Suite 2850, Chicago, Illinois 60603-3499, United States of America. The M.Pharm (Clinical Pharmacy) was It has launched a new certificate course Post-graduate certificate program in healthcare business data analytics with an aim to provide a platform for healthcare professional and interdisciplinary researchers to learn about the fundamental principles, and applications of intelligent data acquisition, processing, and analysis of healthcare data. Provision of education in the UAE began shortly after the establishment of the federation with the inception of the first university in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates University. Since then, the country has progressed with efforts of ensuring high literacy rates, modern programs and women's share in education. It works on improving its youths education which is why the agenda 2021 has been set. The UAE currently devotes approximately 25 percent of total federal government spending to education. As of 2019, the overall literacy rate is 96%.
