Dubomedy Arts is an arts school in the MENA region offering professional training in comedy, encompassing stand-up and sketch comedy, improvisation, writing and performance, character development, acting, Arabic comedy, basic circus skills, NYC tap dance and body beats, Emirati language classes. [1] [2] It was founded on April 1, 2008, by comedian Mina Liccione and stand-up comedian and producer Ali Al Sayed.
Co-founder Ali Al Sayed is a comedian in the MENA region and serves as Dubai's first local professional comedian. [3] He has been recognized as ‘one of the most influential comedians in the world’ by Toastmasters International Magazine [4] and earned the nick name “King of Laughter” by Rolling Stone ME. [5] Al Sayed is the founder of local entertainment company Viva Arts, is the co-director of Dubomedy Arts, and the producer of the Dubai International Comedy Carnival in the MENA region. [6]

The Comedy Cellar is a comedy club in Manhattan where many top New York comedians perform. It was founded in 1982 by then stand-up comedian, and current television writer/producer Bill Grundfest. It is located in Greenwich Village on 117 MacDougal Street between West 3rd Street and Minetta Lane. Above the club is a restaurant called The Olive Tree Cafe to which it is connected, where many of the comedians hang out after performing. The club is owned by Noam Dworman, who inherited it from his late father Manny in 2003. It is being booked by Estee Adoram, who has developed the club's talent for nearly four decades. The businesses share the same menu, kitchen, and staff as the Olive Tree Cafe.

Hamdan Al Abri is a Singer/Songwriter and one of the founders and front man of Dubai-based soul band ABRI. Abri began singing at a young age and started his career working alongside numerous groups and bands in Dubai and abroad. Abri and the band released two widely acclaimed albums in relatively quick succession: Sunchild & Blank Notes.
