Duette School is a historic school building in Duette, Florida, United States. Built in 1930, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 30, 2018. [1] [2]
The school was a two-teacher elementary and middle school teaching first through eighth grades through 1966 and was a one-teacher school for grades 1-4 thereafter until its closing in 2016. [3]

De Soto National Memorial is a national memorial located in Manatee County, approximately five miles west of Bradenton, Florida. The memorial site comprises 26.84 acres (10.86 ha), where the Manatee River joins Tampa Bay. It has 3,000 feet (910 m) of coastline; eighty percent of the area is mangrove swamp.

It has a drainage basin of 222 square miles (570 km2). It flows along the Little Manatee River State Park for part of its route. The Old Manatee County Courthouse, built in 1859–1860, is an historic building located at 1404 Manatee Avenue East, in Bradenton, Florida. It was Manatee County's first courthouse and is the oldest surviving Florida county courthouse left in the state, and is now part of the Manatee Village Historical Park. On June 29, 1976, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. After it ceased being used as a courthouse, it became the Manatee Methodist Church and the Manatee Methodist Church Parsonage.
The Bradenton Carnegie Library is a Carnegie library in Bradenton, Florida. It was founded in 1918, served as Bradenton's main library for 60 years, and now houses the Manatee County Historical Records Library. It was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
The University of South Florida Sarasota–Manatee is a branch campus of the University of South Florida in Sarasota, Florida. USF Sarasota-Manatee was established in 1975 as a regional campus of the University of South Florida and gained separate accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate and master's degrees in June 2011. It was consolidated with the other two USF campuses as of July 1, 2020. Day, evening, weekend and online classes serve more than 14,000 students annually.

Fort White High School is located at 17828 SW SR47 in Fort White, Florida. It is part of the Columbia County School District in Columbia County, Florida. The high school opened in a new building in 2000, 30 years after the original Fort White High School closed. The original school and auditorium buildings are part of the Fort White Public School Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places

Lincoln Memorial High School, established as Lincoln Academy Grammar School, was the only public high school for African Americans in Manatee County, Florida prior to desegregation. Located in Palmetto, Florida, it was originally established as Lincoln Academy in 1930, making it Manatee County's first school for blacks. In 1949, Lincoln Academy was merged with Memorial High School, becoming Lincoln Memorial High School. The high school became Lincoln Middle School in 1969 after desegregation.
